Hi, just discovered Airsoft. We fired a few at Operation Market Harborough tank show and decided to visit our nearest venue which was outpost Chester. Had a great time, and ended up coming home with the Poseidon thesus M4.

Will definitely be going back soon, and will likely a be adding a few more to our collection.

Already own a fair few airguns and paintball co2 markers. (25ish) But don't tell the wife....

Looking forward to learning from you lot on here. Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome. I can see it's going to be an addictive and expensive hobby...

I've a ton of questions, but I'll look thru the old posts before I post much as they've probably already been asked already a million times.

The bio ammo, are they any good? I've ordered some as I have access to some land for my airguns but it's shared with livestock and I don't want to cause them any harm.

Bio bbs did have a reputation for being a bit crap but this is a legacy from years ago and they're alot better now with more sites are insisting only bio bbs are used. Whether or not they're really that biodegradable is another question for another time. Stick to reputable brands and you should be fine.

I brought some bios, and out of curiosity I've put it in a glass of water to see what happens. After 5 hours it's still rock hard.

I'll give it a few days to see what happens  as long as the wife doesn't throw it away.

Guess that answers my question. I wanted to shoot at one of my permissions, but I can't if they won't break down quick enough!

I'll still leave it soaking for a bit anyways.

Biodegradable BBs are expected to degrade in years and decades as opposed to standard BBs which will take centuries

Every ‘degradable’ object also needs to be in the right conditions, airsoft bio degradable BBs are likely to need to be stepped into the ground to be subjected to pressure and heat

This will mean that they are not suitable for the land that you have access to

Yep, that makes sense. So much for my cunning plan. I don't want to piss off the landowner. Thanks mate.
