An "AH" moment

I bet they hung around to collect all the dead fish !

 
I don't believe that was a grenade.

It went off so close to them that the shrapnel would have been impossible to avoid and seriously life threatening. It doesn't matter about the water - the flame is clearly visible coming up past the gunwales: basically the water between the explosive and the surface is vaporised instantly and would present no barrier to bits of metal at all.

I also think that shrapnel would have done more damage to the boat.

Maybe it was a distraction flash bang.

Funny though :lol: and yeah, wtf was the point?

That was an MSS; a marine sound signal. They're a really oldschool way of communicating with submarines through loud bangs.

I'd be interested to know the fatality rates among them, they don't seem all too "User Friendly"

 
when used correctly I expect the fatality rate is 0, I've thrown loads of them, just not off a RHIB!
