Been reading this thread for a while now with increasing intrigue.

I’ve always been quite a staunch advocate for the forum and its community.

However (and unless there’s something going on that I’m missing) this whole patch business and the apparent radio silence from the relevant admin is quite concerning. 

 
Well, I see the lack of patches being sent to members as disappointing, if I thought for a second it was a scam I'd be pissed off.

I had to start a new account after I totally messed up trying to join my last account so have no intention in paying for another patch if it's not coming, I like this site and how it's run so would certainly buy another patch if they were available.

So, how about this... does anyone have a contact that could make the patches and sell them in the classifieds? If it's done through paypal the buyer would have some recourse should the item not appear. If a Mod or Admin objects to this idea please state your reasons.

Like you say, it is concerning ?. I think the majority are supportive of a forum/community, just a shame when it's good name gets tarnished through, well, dishonesty. Honesty is one thing I like with the airsoft scene.

Would be good ? must be a decent honest tech savy graphic designer on here....to make/sell an even better patch ?

I was actually going to volunteer myself for exactly this the other week...

I have a manufacturer I use for Woven Hook & Look Patches that I sell for a client but would be able to find a PVC patch supplier relatively quickly if that was the preferred type.

If there's no objection from the Mods and everyone could reach a consensus on patch type and size I'll look into it. The ones I currently do are roughly 50mm x 60mm Woven Hook and Loop Die cut (unique shape) and sell for £5 each or 3 for £10 + £2.80 Royal mail 48 Tracked postage.

Well, I reckon the patch thread (to buy them) should be edited/deleted so members can no longer try to buy a patch, I'd rather the Admins actually buy patches and allowed us to buy them in good faith as I'll assume (not a good thing) that the cost is less than the price for us to purchase & the difference can go towards paying for the site.

Indeed. Surely even the humblest of shop workers would take down a sign saying "Order your fish here" if it were left up in a stationery shop.

That post was more aimed at proffrink or whoever was the guardian of the patches, not sure how the rest of the hierarchy works here ?

Can I have a refund as well please?  I've been waiting since the 16th June 2023...  £6 to receive absolutely nothing never sat well with me, especially as we do like to highlight poor service and scams from retailers, forum members etc.  The irony of getting fleeced by the forum seemed, well, ironic...

If we ever get this sorted I'm still waiting for a patch from UKAPU as well, last promised in May 2022.

There is definitely a theme here...

It's shitty to be honest ? 

One thing that shocks me Is does anyone know proffrink personally? Or is it the sad situation of the world of somebody just behind a keyboard, and even more sad taking people's cash fraudulently?
