    This is probably a very stupid question, but does anyone know if you can put an 8.4volt battery in a 7.4volt gun?

      isn't it a 7.2v - but yes it should be fine going up 1.2volts. it is when you get to 10v+ some guns don't like . Be careful about next stage 9.6v on cheapo JBBG - they break really quickly
