Sorry if this has been asked already but I couldn't quite find what I was looking for.
I'm not registered with UKARA as I've only been on site once. Would it be illegal to:
- Buy a gun which isn't two-tone from a friend OR be gifted one from a friend?
- Use that gun to do airsoft at a site somewhere?
-
Would it be better to order the gun from Zeroone with the M100 spring or order the gun and spring separately and learn to change it myself?
-
Most you'll want would be a fore grip as it makes it easier to hold/aim a rifle for long periods of time. If you play in darker areas then a flashlight is always a good investment if you want one.
Downgrades depend on the site you get it from. Zero one ask for £35 on top of he rifle price for a spring change, others like Taiwan gun do it for free (or so their office told me), or you could buy a spring and do it yourself as there are many guides on the internet
Ahh yeah I saw spring changes on Zeroone. How much of an FPS change could I expect from that?

You can get the same battery and a cheaper (but just as good) charger elsewhere mate. Though easier to get it all from one place, if you want to stay under £200 it'll be worth it.
Battery - 8.4v 1600 mah at £12.40:

Charger - 600mah charger for 8.4v packs with auto cut off at £7.99:

The SRC G36C is generally recognised as a great starter rifle, but I'd recommend running a few hundred rounds through it first to settle the spring so you don't get any inconsistencies when chronoing it at a site. That's why he got the 360 fps (most likely) as it was straight out of the box. If you're worried then a spring downgrade is easily done or you could get a tech to do it for you.
Awesome, thanks. Good to know
Are the spring downgrades expensive?
Also, the gun has 3 rails right? Any attachments you could recommend me?

SRC G36's are great, the charger is pretty good too. Though if you want to stay under £200, you might as well go for the CM16 on Zeroone.
Which one specifically? I did a search and it came up with quite a few - http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/advanced_search_result.php?x=0&y=0&keywords=cm16
I'm looking for:
- Good single shot speed (the g36 I rented on site took a long time from pulling the trigger to actually firing the shot. I tended to let go and try to fire again before the shot had actually happened and the gun kept getting jammed)
- One which will last a long time without breaking/faulting or becoming outdated as I don't really have the money to buy new guns regularly.
- Preferably something which less than 340 FPS as that was the restriction at the site I went to last time.
Speaking of FPS, a reviewer I watched said that the G36c was doing around 360FPS out of the box, which quite a bit higher than the 340- I'm looking for. Should I consider getting something else instead?

Hey guys. I did airsoft for the first time a few months back and have decided to buy my own gear and start going regularly. As you've probably already guessed, I don't really know what to look.
This is the gun I've picked out - http://www.geniestuff.co.uk/src-g36c-electric-airsoft-rifle-aeg.htm
I was planning to get the "8.4v 1500mAh Battery for JG, SRC and TM AEG's" and "Vapex Smart Battery Charger with Auto Cut-Off" from here - http://www.geniestuff.co.uk/airsoft-batteries-chargers.htm#
Any thoughts/criticisms/etc would be greatly appreciated. I'd really like to stick under £200 for the gun with battery and charger if possible.
Edit: Forgot to mention that they even give you a free airsoft pistol - http://www.geniestuff.co.uk/htdocs/freegiftoffer.htm (looks pretty crappy but oh well )
