  1. G&G guns have a good reputation, however they seem to have had a few issues with the gen3 mosfets burning out quite quickly

Really? Are they easy to replace?

Just watched some reviews on them and they look pretty good. Great range and accracy out of the box, which is what I'm looking for.

  2. I was thinking of an FN2000, they look so nice when you put the lower rail on, but at around £100 that brings the gun up to over £400. And apprently some sites aren't keen on the adjustable sprinf tenstion

Plus I'm thinking of moving away from Bullpups for my next gun, although the 97B looks pretty nice.

Currently I'm eyeing up the G&G T4-18 toptech gen3 – anyone have any experience with it?

  3. Okay I know I'm opening myself up here to a barrage of suggestions here but 'I'm thinking of getting a new gun, any ideas?'

So my budget is around £350, and I'm really after an AEG for field use (not CQB). And of course I'm after range and accuracy. Good rate of fire is a bonus.

I've always leaned towards bulpups but maybe it's time to look at standard configurations. I'm not a fan of AKs and would like a gun that takes M4 mags.

    So, any recomendations chaps?

  4. Could you not just wrap the opening bit of velcro'y stuff round your pistol grip and then the clip onto your belt? thats what I assumed was the intended use of it anyway

I suppose you could, but that would probably make it uncomfortable to hold.

My plan B is to buy a rubber grip and somehow fasten a ring to it, so I can clip the standard pistol lanyard to it. I'm just worried that cutting the rubber would lead to it tearing (like a nick in a rubber band).

  5.

Sorry thats the normal type. The clips attaches to the base of your gun's grip. But my pistol has no hole to clip it onto.

The version I'm trying to track down has a rubber attachment at the end, not a clip. A bt like this...

  6. Okay so my pistol doesn't have the little hole at the base of the handle to attach a lanyard to. I really don't want to get into drilling holes or fitting custom handles and stuff – but I need a lanyard as I've almost lost the thing twice now (although it's a great testament to the spirit of airsoft that it's been handed in on both occasions).

Once I saw a guy who had a pistol lanyard that attached via a thick rubber grip that you put over the pistols handle, almost like a very wide rubber band – its clearly designed for pistols with no lanyard hole.

He said he just found it online. Now I've searched and seacrhed but can't find anything like it. Does any know what I'm talking about, have seen one too, know what they are called, or better still have a link?

  7. Really not sure. There's a customer review on the JD airsoft website that claims they tested it to 120rpm and it worked though! I say go for it!

I've very tempted to. The B&T is £40-£50 on various sites the TM is pretty much £100. Can't help but wonder if the B&T is gonna be a false economy.

    Cheers for the advice.

  8. I know a few people that use the B&T one and it seems fine on full auto. Army Force do one that is similar too.

Personally I have the Dytac QD one as it fits nicely on the G&G SCAR flash hider AND comes with a QD flash hider so I now have that on my M4. Presto change-o interchangeable QD tracery goodness. Plus....paying twice as much for ammo. Which sucks.

Do you think the B&T one will be fine with high cycle full auto? I haven't tested my rate of fire but the HC is meant to be 25-30rps. If the B&T one can deal with that then it sounds like we have a winner.

  9. So after a day of rather awesome CQB (which I'm new too) I thought a tracer unit might be handy – and look cool let's face it.

I've been looking around at various tracers, watching reviews etc and the early two contenders are the new Tokyo Marui Tracer Unit and the ASG B&T one. I like these because they are shorter then the rest, I prefer the stubby look.

I use a Toyko Marui High Cycle, and althought most CQB sites don't allow full auto it would be nice to have a tracer unit that could keep up... just in case.

The B&T is the cheaper option but does any one know if it's any good (first hand experience). Is the TM one worth the extra money?
