quite interested in the future buying a second hand cheap aeg so i can open it up and learn the internals and upgrade it. good idea? what gun would be easiest to start on?

An AK, the V3 is by far the nicest and easiest standard gearbox to work with...

the ak build also seems to make more sense to me than m4.. or even worse, mp5.
