  1. Hey folks. This is a new one on me. I brought one of these second hand admittedly and it went out to skirmish this weekend. It seemed to fire fine but when switching back to safe it was like the bbs dropped out and the power died. It’s got EBB on it and I was using a 7.4v lipo 2500mah. The behaviour was like the battery was dead. Does anyone know anything about this model?
  2. Yes mate. I thought that was the case DEFCON don’t accept it but hey ho
  3. Cheers dude. I found the hop unit wasn’t engaged with the gear box correctly and that lifted it up to 260 however after this weekend the gb is coming out and I’m gonna investigate it properly
  4. Yeah 100%. Got it off Defcon and I can see inside it’s a v2 also. main difference to what I’ve worked with before is hop unit and nozzle length. Since posting this I’ve looked about and it could be compression parts related namely piston and cylinder head 🤦‍♂️ I think I’ve got a couple spare bits I could use but it’s getting it sorted before Saturday
  5. So I can’t find to much on this particular system other than it’s much like the A&K versions. So this one runs a V2 gearbox. out the box on 0.28g bbs without any work being done I was getting 211 fps. I’ve just popped new bucking and a m105 spring and I’m hitting 245fps and about 0.8j ish. I’ve stuck a ASG Infinity 45k motor in it which gave me an extra two ish RPS and now at 12.2rps. I’m using a 7.4v lipo and the bucking is the orange 4uantum. I noticed that there is no port in the cylinder if that means anything however the inner barrel is pretty long I haven’t stripped the gb down to look at the compression parts but does anyone have any other experience with this system before I delve into deeper depths?
  6. How would I check that? There is very very little play when they are in so it must be a design fault I’m guessing
  7. Afternoon, Ive been looking at my mates TM MP7 aeg. He brought a couple of new mags hi cap ones and they seem to reduce the performance of the gun to 100fps. The only modification he’s done to it is to adapt it from the odd tm battery adapter configuration which I think was a 7.2v battery over to a tamiya lipo 7.4v. if it’s the mags I’m not sure I can solve that one. anyone else had a similar issue?
  8. So tried changing bucking and it got worse, tried different barrel still bad. Checked compression on nozzle (should have done this before) and Maxx pro noz was leaking loads. Tried another max pro noz and same thing. Switched back to shs and hey presto it worked a treat. Now consistent fps at 270/280 and 0.9j-1j on 0.28g. Happy days and thanks for the help folks
  9. Yeah it’s paired up with a Maxx nozzle as I had also read this so was a bit miffed when I ended up With problems tbh
  10. Spring I think in m100. Cylinder I can’t remember the exact type but the port looks to be about two thirds down the cylinder Ok cool I have a couple of stock buckings I can try. Maple leaf have given me the occasional issue in the past however this one looked to be positioned correctly compared to those that have given me grief
  11. FYI was testing with 0.28g bbs. I grabbed a hi cap mag to test but normally I run mid cap pts epm1 mags so not sure if it’s a feed issue?
  12. Evening all, so I have put together a quick build with some bits I had in the garage. I brought a max pro hop as the spare I had was bust. It’s running a max 21.25mm nozzle, maple leaf bucking. Compression from cylinder was fantastic no leaks. Inside the gb is a 13:1 gear set with a ASG 18k motor. I had two inner barrels that I’ve tried a brass 280mm and a steel 240mm I think. I am getting on the brass a range between 160 -280 and on the steel it never got past 150. 🤦‍♂️ there is no delay chip on as there wasn’t in this gb before. any ideas ?
  13. That was before being cleaned and lubed up. Was wetter than Gemma Collins mouth in greggs What’s the correct O ring size for the piston and cylinder head ?
  14. It’s a weird one as I grabbed the old gear box that came out of it and serviced it fully. When I opened it up the tappet plate looked different. It has a moon shape on the tail end and there is a delay chip however the nozzle is shorter than what I had in the eon gb. When I fitted it all back together (with a clean inner barrel and bucking) I got 335 fps and 1.28j (no hop applied) 🤦‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ I guess this is an easier problem to fix the the latter lol images are of the gb that came with the gun when I brought it 2nd hand
  15. So the paper moved a fair bit so I’m guessing air is escaping 🤦‍♂️ IMG_3676.mov
  16. Yeah fair point. Not done anything to it since I brought it off a seller. I think it was thrown together with bits from the Airsoft fair
  17. Awesome thanks I’ll try this. if there is a leak does that mean I should fit a delay chip or slightly longer nozzle?
  18. When you say timing do you mean when the nozzle moves forward and locates the bb into the feed lips before the piston sends the air down? Sorry if that’s a stupid question also where should the nozzle locate to when it enters the hop again? I am not getting any miss feeding when the gun fires bbs fly so I think the retraction etc is ok
  19. Probably length as it’s the same I used previously with a health fps. Maybe too short? What other lengths are there for an m4 v2gb?
  20. Tbf I don’t think it’s over 400mm however I’ll check once I’m back home. Based on my poorly calibrated eyes I’m guessing between 350 to 370 in the past I’ve had similar platforms with nozzle related issues but I fitted an O ring to make sure the hop was as tight as poss to the gb/nozzle and the fps dropped 5 points 🤷🏻‍♂️
  21. So it’s a V2 gear box, Maple leaf 60 degree bucking, no delay chip, 13:1 gears, 18000 ASG motor, Rocket v2 tappet plate, SHS nozzle 21.4mm, Gate EON protector cylinder head, EON Power hybrid cylinder head. Hop unit looks like a basic rotary unit but it was what come with the shell/receiver when I brought it second hand. The hop unit I used to run when fitted to the inner barrel, wouldn’t let the upper receiver fit all the way into the lower Reciever (this one has happened to me twice now so I’m wondering if some how I’ve made a school boy error when putting the upper back together) I’ll get the measurements on the inner barrel and some more pictures later
  22. This is the cylinder. I managed to find the invoice from when I brought it. I’m taking the gun apart this avo so I’ll measure the inner barrel
