I recently bought this boneyard TM AK47s and I want to bring it kicking and screaming into the modern era, I'm gonna do all the usual internal stuff but I also fancied these handguards I've found but I've never fitted a magpul handguard to a TM AK, so I was wondering if anyone has experience of making these fit; so does anyone know if these will just go on or will I have to do some modifications to get them on?
Hop rubber and o-ring replacement are a must, clean and re grease the gearbox too cos I bet that's crusty as hell, depending on storage conditions it might need the inner barrel cleaning or replacing too.
The Cyma that's broken is my backup and a friend broke it putting a mag in like a chimp on steroids ?...The G&G would have been a perfect backup if the mags weren't proprietary and £35 a pop ?, after more thought I'd have the G&P as it's more compatible with my current mags and loadout.
I'm looking for a replacement for the inner magwell as the feed tube is broken but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for, does anyone know what it's called or the part number?
I've got a ssx23 with three mags, two of the mags average 237fps on .36 bbs but one is only doing 108fps with the same gas and BBs, what could be causing low power from one mag?
Ok, so I've opened the gearbox just to see if it's standard....it's not, it's got aftermarket gears 16:1 and a after market plunger....but it still has the standard tappet plate.
Looking at pictures of the standard gearbox I think the tappet timing is wrong....how the Frick do I fix this?
Hi everybody ?
I've bought a used Asg Bren from a friend that's been having issues feeding on full auto (it works fine single shot) I was told it was the nozzle not going back far enough but wouldnt that be the same on semi?.....doing a bit of research I read that some AEG's that use a spring for tension to push the hopup up against the gearbox have this issue but didn't find a solution.
Does anyone have experience fixing this problem with the Bren? Or even just fixing the issue with similar hop setups would help.
Thank you.
