A must-have tool for anyone wanting to modify, tune, upgrade, repair, an AEG! In-line power analyzer, that continuously shows instantaneous values for: - Amps - Volts - Watts It also displays in sequence the following: - Ah (Amps-hour) - Wh (Watt-hour) - Wp (Peak Watts) - Vm (Min. Voltage) Operation limits: 4.8 - 60V (0 - 60V with optional auxiliary battery) 0 - 200A, resolution 0.01A 0 - 60 V, resolution 0.01V 0 - 6554W, resolution 0.1W 0 - 65Ah, resolution 0.001Ah 0 - 6554Wh, resolution 0.01Wh It can be used to monitor and test battery charging, AEG motor current draw, wattage, monitor battery voltage. This way one can evaluate if the setup is properly tuned, or if the nominal battery discharge rate is sufficient for the setup, check battery capacity and health, balance batteries, etc. It can also be used for RC models. Bonus: - It comes with either one pair or Deans connectors, or XT60H, shown in the photo, depending on your needs. - I can solder the connectors for you, so you get it ready to use. - (to be confirmed) I also have some Mini-Tamiya - to Deans wiring. Price does not include postage or PayPal fees. However, I'm happy to use your prepaid label, which means you can have full control over the shipping. Alternatively, you can pick it up in person and pay in cash, if you live nearby.

I'm in dire need of a hammer housing (or hammer assembly), for my Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4. I'll pay fair. Make me an offer. Alternatively, I am happy with various swaps. I can offer a brand new pair of gloves (hard knuckle) for a stock housing. I also have some AUG (aeg) magazines (mid-cap, hi-cap).

  4. Thanks. I'll be looking for that. I have a Snow Wolf and an 'unknown' ... Both ABS. I had to do a bit of work to ensure consistency. They're okay now, but I still don't feel good about how they feel. Compare that against a Krytac P90, and you can definitely tell the difference in body firmness.
  5. All Airsoft AUGs I touched had the stock made of ABS. I believe the GHK GBB has a stronger stock (nylon)? So, I was wondering if anyone knows about an AEG Steyr AUG make that has a nylon stock. Ideally from first hand experience (you own, owned, or personally touched one). Internet is full of ambiguous information and contradictions in this regard. You may ask why... well, the ABS stock feels quite flimsy in my opinion and as someone who enjoys the AUG design, I'd like to eventually upgrade mine with a sturdier stock build. Perhaps one day I'll get a GBB one, but for now AEG will have to do. Thanks for any comments/suggestions/ideas.
  6. So, I wanted to downgrade the fps for my AUG to below 330fps and for that purpose I purchased an ASG Ultimate Mil-Spec M95 spring (you can see it here: https://www.surplusstore.co.uk/asg-m95.html )... I was surprised to see that is 2.5cm longer than the original spring in my AUG. Original Spring Length: 152mm New (ASG) Spring Length: 177mm Question: What spring should I look for in that gearbox?
  7. @Lozartthat's how I read about maintaining rubber buckings. In the same post it was also mentioned that if bucking is made of silicone, then it should NOT be touched by silicone oil, but for rubber they said is needed, or it can crack. So... i just followed the indications. If you happen to know a better maintenance procedure, I'd love to learn about it. Also, if you consider that what I did should not be done, I'd love to hear why.
  8. Barrel was cleaned with 99.9 Isopropyl alcohol. Same for the bucking. Then I put the bucking a bit in silicone oil, to make sure is not dry. BBs used: 0.25g G&G PSBP (5.95 +/-0.01mm as i says on the bag) The sharp turns were happening rather randomly, not consistent in one direction. And slight hop-up adjustments would affect it in a considerable an unpredictable manner (eg, tightening it a bit would make it worse, but the tightening it again, would make it better...). For the hop-up, I wrapped some PTFE tape around the end of the bucking (making sure I don't get near the barrel window) and both under and on top of the ring a little bit, to ensure a snug fit. Then I gently pushed the hop-up chamber over the bucking and it didn't move anymore. Another thing I did was to add a bit of PTFE tape at the tip of the barrel,to make it fit better in the inner barrel. Of course there is still the issue of the inner barrel vibrating inside the outer... but this is something more difficult to deal with. All in all, now after the proper fit of the bucking and hop chamber the random deviations reduced visibly. The grouping is still bad (20cm at 30m shooting distance). Further suggestions? (r-hop?)
  9. Thank you for all answers... I understand now. It may actually be an issue with my hop-up assembly and the bucking in this case. Even on my stock (brass) barrel, with stock plastic hop-up chamber, everything seems a bit too loose. I encountered some really odd firing. The bb goes straight and then when close to target it makes a random sharp turn. I can only assume this comes from the hop-up, as the bb is losing energy and the inconsistent spin is affecting its trajectory. Perhaos as @Rogerborgmentioned, the tolerances are crap and everything is misaligned. Question: Is a metal hop-up chamber worth (Snow Wolf Electrical AUG), or I'd better just get another plastic one, that may be better built ?
  10. I want to know what is the role and purpose of the brass ring that goes in front of the hop-up chamber and the spring that sits on the inner barrel in front of it. I tried to look online, but either my search queries weren't spot-on, or the question is too generic, because I didn't find an answer.
  11. Cheap is always cheap... the part of the outer barrel that goes inside the gun is made of two plastic shells glued together that cover the inner barrel... and they started splitting open by the seam. I'd be so happy if I can find a full metal or at least better quality outer barrel set. Length is flexible, first to find them, either new or sold by private owner.
  12. Great advice, I may say ... I did this with my 3D printer, where having only one printer, I went full dive in upgrades and that rendered my printer not functional for almost a year, whilst it sat on the table with wires out, missing parts, waiting for others... So, yes... I would consider to not alter the gearbox unless other AUG users would insist that is the most sensitive part. First and foremost perhaps a short (the shortest available) barrel would be the best, so I can feel comfortable using it in small spaces. I just don't know what I should get... and make sure it fits (do all fit, or is it something specific to look for? also quality wise, brand, model?...)
  13. Hi @Sneaky, thanks for your suggestons. For some reason, youtube seems to have very little available regarding electrical AUGs... yes, plenty of information in general about Electrical rifles, but as I am not looking for a specific upgrade, but rather seeking advice here from other AUG owners and Electrical rifle owners in general, to what would be most critical, I wouldn't know what to look for yet on youtube. The make is Snow Wolf, as I specified in the initial post. From what I read online, some people say it may have the same internals as Jing Gong (I can't verify this information). For the first upgrades, my goal is simply to make sure the gun doesn't break after 3-4 months of normal (no abuse) use. I was given 3 months guarantee, when for other AEGs the general warranty seems to be 6 months. Obviously this is a concern for me. Regarding CQB, for start I would be only interested in having the shortest barrel for quick swap to be able to get my rifle easily switched for indoor activities when I want that. Play style - i am at the beginning of this activity, so I don't believe I have one...rather experimenting with various play styles, but I generally prefer to seek and engage rather than hide and wait. To end my response to you, although the idea of "bigger, better, faster" is obviously appealing, my first upgrades would mostly for quality reliability concerns. And here perhaps Electrical AUG users could advice best...
  14. Hi, I recently got a Snow Wolf AUG A1 and I already managed to crack the front grip rod. It stays in place, works as it should, but there is an obvious crack in the metal. I would like to replace that infamously bad part with something known to work a little better if anyone can suggest anything. As I said in the title, I'm a beginner both in airsoft in general, and in using electric guns. I do understand principles, I am pretty knowledgeable in electronics and mechanics in general, specific terms regarding airsoft, guns, electrical guns may confuse me at first, so please be specific and don't assume I know those things. One thing I hate about AEG is the perceptible trigger delay. It's small, perhaps 10ms, but I can feel it! And the more worn out a gun is, the more perceptible it will be. I read about boards with pre-cocking ... are they worth? Should I? If yes, which, how? I also read that a gearbox with a smaller ratio (1:12 maybe?) can shorten the delay, but I'm guessing that would require high torque motor, which could potentially run hot. Moving to the other parts: Scope: - I seem to have some issues zeroing the elevation it at 20m. Even with the knob completely removed, it still won't fall on the dot. (I used a barrel laser) - Any suggestions on how this could be fixed? Hop-Up: - The hop-up on the stock barrel seems really primitive and the housing is made of plastic. Now it works fine, because is new... for how long it will be the same? I can't really tell. Any good replacements for my AEG that I should consider? Barrel: - I would like to have a shorter barrel too for CQB, but I can't seem to find spare barrels, and which I find, I don't know if GBB and AEG are cross-compatible for AUG A1, or if Snow Wolf AUG has any particular design that would not fit from other manufacturers. Advice and link would be much appreciated. Gearbox: - I have no clue what quality gearbox is inside. I didn't open yet the rifle and I only know how those gearboxes work, but I know nothing about build quality, what to look for in an upgrade, ratios and motors, etc. Any consistent information, especially if it focuses on Snow Wolf AUG A1 would be muc appreciated. Trigger Unit: - I am sure it has a micro switch for this money. Is an electronic switch worth? What other options are there? Mosfet: - I'm sure it doesn't have one. Which one do you recommend? Should I add one separate, or is best to add an electronic trigger unit with an integrated mosfet? The upgrades and changes that concern me the most are those which would prolong the life of the gun. Now is new, it works as it should, but I am perfectly aware that low and subpar components quality will lead to cascade failures in short time. I would like to avoid that by replacing the most vulnerable parts. I may not know which those parts are and what are the recommended replacements for them, so I will greatly appreciate any suggestions. Second in importance for upgrades would be to increase weapon's reliability and response time (improved and consistent accuracy, faster trigger response time, more reliable gearbox, for example...) On third place would be alterations to change projectile speed (for various sites requirements), barrel length, and any other upgrades/changes that you would suggest, or some of you did to their AUG and would like to share your experience. Ultimately, if you consider that I didn't mention some parts or upgrades that you may consider important, is perhaps because I am not aware of their necessity, so please tell me in your replies about your suggestions! I am keen to learn and be guided in pulling the best of my newly acquired rifle. Thank you kindly.
