Would recommend eggshell/wave foam. Much more versatile and doesn't restrict you to one/two specific RIFs. This allows you to play around with the layout, maximising what you can carry at one time.

That depends, if you have one gun, that you won’t change for a long time. Pick n pluck, combined with plastidip or plasticote (not sur E what the correct name for the hardening product is)
if want to transport different guns, or change regularly- then is wave foam
