40mm Grenades not releasing all their gas properly
CzechMeOut replied to CzechMeOut's topic in General Help
Hello, So I seem to have solved this. I had everything greased up but after stripping, cleaning everything off and only greasing the 2 o-rings on the plunger (that also holds the ball bearings) the grenades are now firing with a big singular bang! -
I have a couple of ASG 40mm shower shells that both aren't releasing their gas fully in one go, as the video shows. They did used to work (over a year ago probably) and I've tested on a couple of different launchers along with making the firing pins way longer than they need to be. I'm assuming being left in a box with no maintenance has possibly caused some lubricant to gunk up? I've looked around but I can't find any info on this problem, just gas leaks. Before I take them apart, has anyone ran into this problem before? Thanks! 20240427_122754.mp4

JG G3 set up as a DMR firing around 430fps. Locked to semi via mosfet. Near Newcastle can drive to meet. - 6.02 ZCI Barrel - ZCI Piston Head kit - SHS High Torque motor - Perun V2 mosfet - M130 spring (I think) - Maple Leaf bucking Includes: - 3D printed wood furniture - Rifle bag - Sling - Original plastic furniture - Goetland 3-9x50 scope and weaver adapter - G3 weaver rails - 2x Lipo batteries - 2x hi-cap magazines - 1x bottle of 0.4g bbs NOT INCLUDED: - Harris bipod DOWNSIDES: - The outer barrel is slightly bent to the left (see images). This does not affect performance but obviously the BBs are going left of where the scope is centered. The inner barrel is brand new and not bent, this could be fixed by either shimming the scope to accommodate the barrel or shimming the plastic outer barrel until it is centered.£250

No it's definitely the barrel. Looks like the previous owner may have took a tumble and bent it.

Purchased as a project for £50. I've 3D printed some wood furniture for it and I'm mostly happy with how it turned out. Printed in walnut 30% wood PLA, 1 coat of walnut wood dye and 1 coat of teak wood varnish. Internal upgrades: - Perun V2 - Maple Leaf 70 degree rubber - Tomtac 6.02 barrel. (Brilliant barrels for the cost. Apparently they might be rebranded ZCI?) - ZCI closed cylinder - XT cylidner and piston head - M130 spring FPS is a solid 430fps with semi locked via the Perun. The plastic receiver sucks but I'm on the hunt for a G&G magnesium reciever to replace it with.

Purchased a JG G3 as a project for £50. I've upgraded it and it's brilliant (rock solid gearbox!). Only issue is the barrel is bent to the left. The inner barrel is fine (I've actually replaced it) but the outer barrel is bent to the left. Still getting consistent 430fps (DMR) and groupings but to the left, so I can't adjust the scope far enough. I was thinking of shimming the scope but ideally I'd like to straighten the barrel itself. Is this a common problem? Any ideas? Obviously it's all plastic so flexes easily. Looking for the G&G metal reciever but very expensive.

So we normally play at NSC but decided to try Dirty Dog. It was a total mess. This was probably around a year ago. - There seemed to be far too many players especially for the container village. - Large groups of young kids, some blasting the most cringe inducing music from belt mounted bluetooth speakers for all to hear. - The games seemed to have very little rhyme or reason as to what was going on. - The respawn points weren't clear and neither were the objectives. - The main play area was so overgrown and sprawling it was hard for anyone to understand or play the objective. - Too few marshalls for such a large area with broken lines of site. It basically felt like we were at a kids Birthday party. The container village is great but have each container rammed full of people made it a chore. We're thinking of giving it another go. Is it always this messy?

So I had a magazine adapter jam inside the magwell of my CYMA MP5k. Removed it but now the body pin is very loose which it wasn't before. The little brass cyclinder that goes through the mag release catch falls out when it never did before. I can put it all back together OK and the mag release works, however the pin is very loose. Has something fallen out that I've missed? Can anyone take a quick look at their MP5K please? Thanks!

This is a 3D printed double barrelled 40mm pistol launcher. - Weaver rail and sights - Break action - Individual triggers for each barrel - Suitable for green gas only! DO NOT USE CO2 with this. Since this is a 3D printed item there will be some imperfections in the finish however it is a solid, well made piece. I guarantee nobody else on the field will have one of these little guys!£50

Video of it firing: https://sendvid.com/6g7wawuz JG Vz61 AEP with the following upgrades: - Real steel wooden grip - Gate Nano Mosfet + lipo modded - M80 Spring - Firefly rubber bucking It fires at 280fps with 0.2g bbs and has a very fast rate of fire. Extras included: - 2x drum magazines - 3x lipo batteries - Silencer and adapter - Under barrel weaver mount !PLEASE READ! This is a super unique Vz61 AEP with every possible mod. The original pistol grip internals have been REMOVED to allow for the real steel wooden grip. This means that the gun only fires full auto and has NO SAFETY. The trigger switch is simply two pieces of metal that touch.£200

Little update. I swapped to a Rocket M105 spring and it's now shooting at 315fps with a 0.25 and no hop up. Rate of fire is 34RPS according to my chrono!

Hey thanks for your detailed reply! I ended up putting in a new hop up rubber, M110 spring and 12tpa high speed motor. The air seal is better than I assumed as it's now over the limit at 380fps 0.2 and 350fps 0.25 with no hop up. FPS is only varying by 1-3fps per shot which I assume is pretty good! I didn't bother installing the metal air nozzle anyhow as I didn't want to open up the gearbox. Baby steps but I'm sure I will open it up sooner or later. Just need to watch a few more YouTube videos. I've ordered an M100 and M105 spring to hopefully take it down in power for a game at the weekend. Then after that I'll look at replacing the piston/bushings. I've also ordered a metal spring guide since I figured there is no harm in replacing it. Is there a replacement piston you would recommend for this gun? How many teeth? How many of them should be metal? Would I need to replace the piston head as well? Thanks again, this is my airsoft gun and first time working on one. This is a big help as there is very little discussion on the VZ.58.

Hello, I have recently acquired a well used Ares vz.58 Long rifle. While it's working OK, it does feel a little weak (no chrono atm) so I'm looking to upgrade the internals but I am totally new to this. So far based on my research I have bought the following parts: - M110 non-linear spring - CNC double o-ring air nozzle - 12tpa motor - 60 degree hop up bucking I think this should get it back up to speed but is there anything else worth considering while I'm doing this? - Inner barrel? - Gears? - Spring guide? - Cylinder and head? - Piston? Not a great deal of info on this gun! Thanks in advance.
