  2. Hive mind - I need to replace the rubber o ring around the base of the magazine for my TM glock 17. I can find sets of o ring for the fill and release valve but not the big o ring for the base plate. Can anyone shed any light on where I could buy them, or even just the size I need and I can buy generic ones! TIA
  3. morning all! Does anyone carry a first aid kit on them at all whilst playing? I've just put one (very compact but quite well kitted out that I normally take camping) in a small pouch onto my back. I've been toying with the idea for a while as I've seen some pretty bad injuries in various sites and just wondered if anyone else keeps one / feedback etc? Steve
  4. Evening! Does anyone own or have owned an alpha tec hex grenade gen.2? Looking at picking one up s/h locally and onwdering if anyone has any feedback on them?
  5. That's exactly the reason I bought it pre soldered, I dont mind doing small electrical work but knowing how small the boards are I didnt want to risk screwing it up myself! Thanks for the help! Always appreciated
  6. It was bought pre-soldered, and I bought a new stock for the gun to turn it to a rear wired setup. I was very careful to make sure none of the wires were rubbing etc when I routed them through the gearbox and have checked to make sure none of the wire is crimped / split. I took the box apart thismorning and put back in the old non-mosfet board and hey presto it all works fine. Looks like the mosfet is faulty so it's being sent back for a replacement!
  7. Hi guys, So ive been fiddling about with my G&G CM16 MOD0 30th Anniversary that failed on me a while back. Turns out it was the trigger contacts. I bought a basic Jefftron mosfet for it, which I've installed and am having a few issues - plugged in the battery and nothing happened apart from the wires and grip getting hot. Thought I had maybe got a short, checked it all out and nothing is rubbing and its wired as per the instructions. left the motor out of the grip and attached the battery - and the motor spins constantly whether its in safe / semi / auto mode. What have i done wrong? I am completely lost as to why it is permanently engaged like the trigger is pulled in, but its not. That also doesnt account for why its running even in safe mode. Any help greatly appreciated....
  8. So one of the contacts on the mosfet was really badly soldered, and it looks like it was earthing out on the fire selector switch (or whatever the switch if that changes shooting mode between safe / semi / auto) i took that connection off and resoldered some slightly thinner wire and the switch now clears the solder. Hopefully this ends all the troubles.. now to order some mini fuses before I can test it1 Whilst all this has been a pain in the ass, I must admit its taken all of the fear out of opening the geabox or doing upgrades. Thanks for all the help
  9. Thanks buddy. Took it apart, removed the trigger and cleaned it all up put it back together and its fine after that! However, it has now just popped two fuses in a row after a couple of shots. Taken the gearbox apart and looks like the contacts on the Mosfet I bought (Jeftron) are rubbing on something and shorting out. Maybe that will teach me for buying a cheap mosfet! Back to the drawing board....
  10. Thanks for the help guys, it's my first time opening up the gearbox so it was a little new to me so just took it slowly and tried to be methodical after watching loads of youtube vids! I've opened up the box again and yeh, I hadn't installed the ARL spring properly; sorted that out put it back together and no more gearbox spinning after a shot. I do have another issue though - when I shoot of full auto, the trigger returns to position properly but when I shot semi, the trigger stays pulled in and i have to manually push it forward to engage for the next shot. Any ideas? I initially thought maybe the trigger caught on a wire from the new Mosfet, but surely that would do it in full auto aswell as semi?!? I've recorded a video to show it. Again, any help is appreciated! 20200614_184736_1.mp4
  11. Hi guys, My first gun (used) G&G CM16 Mod 0 (30 anniversary) died a while back and never got round to sorting it. Due to having all this time I've taken it apart and found it the trigger switch contacts that are worn (guess from using lipo batteries without a mosfet in it). I've installed a cheap mosfet with new trigger contacts and put it back together hooray the rifle works again! Only problem is after shooting on auto, when I take my finger off the trigger there is a sound a bit like high speed unwinding from the gearbox. Ia this the anti-reversal latch? Have I installed it wrong? Any help would be appreciated 20200613_221552_1.mp4
  12. Hi guys, so i have a bit of a problem with my G&G CM16 Mod0 (30th anniversary model) I bought this second hand last year, and its been running fine for what it is. At my last game about 6 weeks ago it started acting up right near the end of the game, not always firing when i pulled the trigger. Thought it was just the battery running low, or maybe because it was a freezing cold night game outdoors! So i switched to my sidearm for the last game and thought nothing more of it. I just got a new sight through the post, so went into the back garden to zero it, put in freshly charged battery... nothing. Every now and then the motor sounds like its engaging slightly but doesn't fire. Then it will rattle off a few shots in either single or auto, then nothing again. I've checked the fuse, seems fine. I've taken the motor out, and did a low down and dirty check with the battery connected up directly and the motor spins. Question is - when i turn the motor output cog by hand, it feels really notchy - like it is worn into grooves. is this normal? I'm now kind of at a loss and don't know what to check next - any suggestions? Is it worth me sending it into my local shop to get them to take it apart and check the gearbox and upgrade it at the same time (and maybe fit a mosfet) - or simply buy a new rifle?.... Any help is greatly appreciated guys. Cheers Steve
  13. Did you remove the old fixed length stock? If anyone has one kicking around spare that they fancy selling that would be great. I just bought an MP5 for a project but the extendable stock on it is dead. I have a few ideas for some upgrade but want a cheap solid stock to work out some new mods on.
