Funny, but no, I've always had dealings with the police, coming from a police family it's hard to loose the smell of pig. The met are known to check these things, end of the day I dont care how they know doesn't effect me. I have my plan, im not going to use violence I'm keeping everything legal and the seller at the boot sale has no legal ground to stop me taking my stuff back

Let me clarify the snatchback part. The gun was bought by another players relation at hounslow heath car boot sale. There was confirmation that the rest of my kit was there Sunday and it's open again Thursday, I'm going to rock up, make my self known to the manager/organisers explain the situation and go with them to reccie and hopefully find what remains of my kit, as they don't allow stolen goods and don't want to loose any licenses they have. I'm aware I need to add more context but the snatch back will be just that, purely legal Their words, not mine, I never disclosed to them at any point that I was in

So for those that know my car was (confirmed by the garage) hacked and broken into, and my guns in their case were taken along with my kids tablets. Thanks to the vigilance of this community, the MTR16 has been found, reported and collected, attachments and all, in its case. There are many of you who notified me and my partner and I'd like to thank you all as I had given up and borderline forgot it. Also, having my rifle back means I renounce me quitting the sport. I will be stripping it down and cleaning it and will upload a picture when done. Also this still means the Mk23 and M1014 and tablets are still out there but I have a positive location and am even in limited state planning a snatch back as it were. Oh why don't you leave it to the police I hear you cry, well this is a direct quote from what is a recorded phone call between the police and myself when I asked if they would attend the location with me "Mr (Redacted) I applaud your initiative but we just don't have the manpower. However, you are ex army, you deal with it as you see fit". So there you have it, the tale of tape so far. Again big big thank you to those who got on to me and the missus. My only case for leaving them in the car is this, I have 4 kids, 4 very curious kids. I did have the case in the loft, where the temperature fluctuates, two mags blew for no reason, I repaired them but refused to put the case back in the loft, the ateca my car has a false bottom in its boot, so I put the case in there so my kids wouldn't be probing, their allowed to probe my L96 for a few reasons, its bright fucking orange, the bolt is spring and heavy to pull, the mag is at another house. Until my youngest is 10 the guns weren't allowed in the house. Now in regards to my views on the met, thats how it is, my partners car was smashed up, and they said there was nothing they could do. Our downstairs neighbour regularly hurls verbal abuse at my missus and daughter demanding they cover up and wear a hijab, again won't do anything, nor when he threw a brick through our window, cant exactly blame us for having no faith in the police. Now if this has offended some I am sorry, but my personal experiences from being a young lad raised by cops, to what I've experienced as an adult hasn't been the best. I know they have a shit job, especially in London, but they don't help themselves sometimes. Regardless, drop it. I know the kit isn't coming back now, even with the MTR being very distinct

If you live in London, you'd get why so many of us are frustrated with the met and have no faith in them, they're the mayor's personal army now as far as we're concerned. But im ditching the topic because the dark humour went over people's heads. They are closing the case because yes there is a lack of evidence, they have my ipads serial as that was also taken (from underneath the driver seat) so hopefully that'll come on line soon

I did but they just literally called back saying their closing the investigation. 24hrs and boom, they don't care, recovering weapons regardless if real or RIF isn't on the NKVDs agenda, and yes I mean the met police(both parents are former met and said they don't recognise is anymore)
