  1. I believe the 16mm threads are cw (if I remember correctly, it was a 16mm+ to 14mm- adapter).
  2. Doing it this way means I don't have to modify any of the gun itself. If the buffer tube is attached to the thread adapter, then I can just unscrew it all from the folding part if I ever want to change back to the skeletal stock.
  3. Thanks Duck! Right, here is a little more info on my plan here. Once the skeletal parts of the stock are removed, I'm left with just the folding part. Strangely enough, that folding part has 16mm threads. I have a 16mm - 14mm thread adapter left over from my Vector which is 1 inch wide. With the help of JB Weld or similar, I hope to bind the the buffer tube and thread adapter. Here is a picture: http://i.imgur.com/K7BLucN.jpg Think that will fit inside the buffer tube comfortably?
  4. This is why I need the inner diameter; I'm going to attach the buffer tube to the folding stock piece
  5. Unfortunately, the upper/lower is made specifically for the PDW which is why it's a little more tricky to do. The lower is designed to take the folding stock instead of a buffer tube. It's a nice concept, but the stock makes the rear end of the gun look very unfinished and there is no adjustment options (aside from folded or non folded)
  6. Hello! I have a WE KAC PDW, which comes with it's own folding skeletal stock (doesn't seem to be any after market ones either), and has no adapter for a buffer tube. So, I will make one, as I'd like to fit a buffer tube for a new stock. In order to do this, I need to know the inner diameter of a buffer tube (I don't have one at the moment). I'd appreciate it if somebody could acquire that measurement, and also list what brand their buffer tube is (I understand that some companies have mil-spec ones, others commercial and I believe KWA has their own buffer tube which is smaller than the other two). Thank you!
  7. Anyone up for the task of replicating and printing an Osprey style suppressor?
  8. Either this integrated suppressor option, or buying a KAC style suppressor to put on the end I suppose
  9. The linked one would have been perfect if you didn't have to buy 5 minimum (£33)! Just need the one. I will keep looking around though, thanks a lot for the assistance
  10. Just wondering if anyone knew of any foam such as the type used on the Madbull ACE stocks. I need some about 160mm long (minimum) with an inner diameter of about 15-20mm. Looks like the same sort of foam on some weight benches (used for the leg rests and whatnot). Strange ask but if anyone knows where that type can be obtained, I'd greatly appreciate it!
  11. Hello, I've got a little project in mind with my WE KAC-PDW. However, I'd need a pretty slim suppressor to avoid having to use a dremel or something (It will sit inside of the rail system - however it is an irregular shape and wouldn't accommodate the average 30 - 40 mm wide suppressors out there without modification). So, does anyone know of a cheap suppressor which is below 30 mm wide and maximum 140 mm in length? Doesn't have to be anything amazing, just need something simple (only about 2 inches of it will be visible from the gun anyway). Otherwise, if you have a suppressor which is 30 mm wide and around that length which you wouldn't mind parting with, then contact me! Thanks for reading.
  12. Got my 8 inch WE PDW! Absolutely incredible gun :) What's the best weight BB for GBBRs?

depends on FPS and personal preferences.

Approximately 330 - I just don't think 0.2 is the best option. Maybe 0.28? I want something that can go fairly far and stay accurate, but not something that drops after leaving the barrel

  13. Any experiences with the WE PDW?

      suppose to be decent

  14. About Hobbyking - I've heard a lot of cases where they don't add the UKARA number on the package but they've been delivered. How risky is it? Any misfortunes?

Yeah I've heard that RIFs coming into the country should have the number on just in case. I'd like to order from there but just not too sure how it'll go if they don't put it there

      Sacarathe

Actually, rather than "just in case", its a requirement, at least, if that is your only way of proving a defence, but, it's supposedly only a 'requirement' insofar as maintaining expediency.

Customs should, if seizing the package, contact you requesting the same information.

I tried to buy of them recently, they wouldn't ship a black WE makarov to the UK, but would ship the silver one. Ridiculous

  15. Anyone here installed Windows OS from an external hard drive?

      KEYBOARD ERROR

      press F1 to resume

WTF - how the f*ck do I press an imaginary F1 key ffs

Ah, PCs and laptops have never been straight forward for me :) Always a problem... Just really hope this PS/2 adapter works. Wish there was another way to access the bios! Or change the boot order via command prompt...

  16. So, I finally switched the HPA! I bought a custom made drum magazine for the Vector, Ninja LPR regulator and a HPA tank (no idea what make!). Do excuse the lack of optics, I am currently in the process of obtaining something along the lines of an EOTech 55 series. Got a few more bits I want to buy for this, but I am very pleased! Apologies for the photo quality. Any decent photos seem to be too big to upload to AF UK. But here it is!
  17. Waiting on my HPA drum mag for my Vector! Can't wait to test it out

  18. Any Eotech 55 series sights up for sale?

  19. Do you need UKARA to import a complete airsoft M4 body from HK? A mate of mine has just asked me and I have no idea to be honest, so looking for an answer here

I'd say no in parts - ie gearbox out of receiver....

Possible questions if complete fitted with pistol grip. Some HK will sell ya guns shipped in two pieces a week apart but dunno the success rate of getting through ok without raising suspicion or duty

    3. Lozart

      Lozart

You only need UKARA if you're importing a whole RIF. Granted people at customs might get a bit shirty of you get two packages from the same place with half a gun in each but if it's just the body kit then you should be fine.

    4. MILITATED

      MILITATED

Yeah he just wants the body of it. It does have the pistol grip and gearbox inside though. All it needs to be full are barrels, handguard, stock and a battery to be honest

  20. Would a 5KU Fighting Cat style front end fit a G&G TR4? A friend is thinking of getting one. The 5KU kit says TM compatible, so would it be compatible with G&G? I know G&Ps have different outer barrels and stuff which is why I ask

    1. MILITATED

      MILITATED

Just in case TM have any different parts like the outer barrel which aren't compatible with G&G

  21. Can anyone tell me if this black bit can be removed from a gearbox without causing any problems, and what is it? The bit in the red circle. Only thing preventing the gearbox from going into my gun. http://imgur.com/R2MtZA6

it's a part for the fake bolt hold open, it's connected to the bolt release on the receiver.

What box are you fitting into what receiver?

    3. MILITATED

      MILITATED

The idea was to fit a specna arms box into a King Arms BW15 receiver. Had to file those protruding bits that held the fake bolt thing for it to fit, but the specna shell doesn't have the protruding bit on the top for the charging handle to latch on to. Eventually ended up mixing the specna and king arms gearbox internals together inside the king arms shell. Turned out to be a pain but it is all in. Just wish I could test it, but I don't have a mini tamiya battery! (They're all...

    RiF loopholes

He has other options than getting a two tone. His brother can get UKARA registered or just find someone who will sell a RIF with site membership as a defence - he will then be that family member that plays airsoft and can access RIFS. Never had any problems with a RIF when I was under 18. Not trying to just pick holes in what you're saying by the way, just trying to present the alternatives that the OP has in terms of having a RIF over a two tone.

    RiF loopholes

I had a RIF in my house (my dad's old one) and I was perfectly fine using it when I started out. As said before, you can own one (there are RIFs knocking about from before the VCRA act, such as the first one I used). You just won't be able to buy one without a valid defence - Well, not legally anyway... As far as two tones go, they're bloody pointless. Might as well just get a valid defence (such as UKARA...) and then get a RIF. Otherwise you're gonna be stuck with a two tone - even if you paint it, the colours may eventually show when your paint gets worn.
  24. How on earth do you separate deans connectors?

there is even a seperator thingy majig to assist in seperating them for slippery fingered limp wristed users I guess. Yes grip deans are best

but pay the extra and grip ones are fine - especially out in cold with gloves on etc...
