  1. For the speedloader i have the small TM one, says it fits 100bb's, but found you can overfill it just up to about 130 which is perfect for a midcap.

I've actually got a spare box of MAG 130rd midcaps

    http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/mag-m16-130-rds-mag-box-set-8-pcs-plastic

Only used one of them a couple times, yours for £40, if you're interested pm me, i work in Reading so could prob sell in person if you're local?

Think I'm actually going to give Mags own speedloader a chance and look around at a few shops before I decide on anything, thank you for that offer too but I'll probably get a new set.

  2. MAG make very good plastic 130 rd mid-caps, nice and cheap too! Work perfectly in my ICS.

If you wanna be OCD brand match about it then ICS make midcaps from their latest couple series of M4's too :)

As for speed-loaders I got a TM small one and it does the job perfectly.

I'm looking at a pack of 8 mag mags for £60 and trying to get a mate to go halves with me haha.

As for the speedloader I couldn't find any tm xl for under 25 or so in the uk (out of stock) which is a shame.

  3. I've got an ICS CXP (so m4 mags) and I'm looking to upgrade to midcaps for cqb and need something before sunday preferably (so uk shops). Wondering if anyone could recommend any good ones, i would prefer metal but it's really not that important at the end of the day, mostly interested in price and performance, the 5 or so packs are also decent as i'll want a few anyway.

    Thanks!

Also any good speed loaders to point out would be handy too!

  4. Basic red dots can be bought off eBay for 20 quid, Element Tac lights are like £50+ in the UK but £25 from Ali Express. Nextorch is a good brand also, have a WL10 myself.

I went for a cheap red dot (cvlife for £17) in the end, still in a pickle looking for flashlights and grips, combined or individually. Finding weapon lights so expensive most of the time, may have to go with the other cheap option of the eagle 2in1 cree led flashlight for 17:50 if i don't find anything else. I'm looking to spend under £30 and preferably order from uk so i get it within a week otherwise i would have ordered the element m910a from china.

  5. Get goggles the ESS V12 are are a good shout. Get half face mesh mask if you want to keep your teeth, neoprene is uncomfortable and sweaty and doesn't really offer much protection.

BB's can shatter through mesh I have had it happen a few times but its never been worse that getting crap blown in your eyes on windy day bit of eye wash and sorted.

Will definitely check those goggles out. The half face is a good shout too. The neoprene is more for outside/looks really but should help protect from getting marks all over my face for the areas that aren't covered like my forehead.

  6. Fair enough. I'd say in CQB they're just a necessary because of the different angles you might be getting shot from. In woodland there's really less chance of getting hit from the side and so one can usually get away with just glasses.

A mesh mask is also a good compromise if you intend to do a fair bit of running around.

Yeah exactly that's the thing, still may end up in mesh but I've seen a few things about bbs shattering into eyes whiz doesn't sound nice, makes me go towards glasses/goggles.

  7. I would give the usual recommendation of eye protection that wraps around like the ESS V12s (and many others) rather than just the glasses. The obvious downside is that they tend to be slightly less comfortable and fog up easier, but are safer. A decision for you to make of course.

Neoprene masks are a right bitch to run in as they limit breathing severely. I'd recommend something as thin as a gaiter but, again, pros and cons with each.

Yeah that's the thing, I would worry about the ballistics for cqb but I just feel like the glasses would be fogging up constantly, may be something I need to experiment for myself.

Hmm I thought the neoprene would be a good option because it offers real protection from face shots, may find it too restricting though I guess we'll see. I think they look pretty good too.

  8.

Ditch those goggles and glasses straight away, you only get one pair of eyes. Id also scrap the cammies to, there junk and could pick up surplus geniuine stuff on ebay for the same price.

    Ninja'd above.

Yeah fair point, I think that's likely what I'm going to do too.

  9. Big no-no on the eye protection; don't skimp on it. Those aren't rated by anyone reputable for protection, and I wouldn't trust them.

Having said that, you'll probably be fine if you really can't fork out but if I were you I'd look on eBay and find some military surplus ballistics goggles. They're not as stylish, but they don't cost much and will do a better job (plus most come with interchangeable lenses). Consider looking up the ESS V12s as there are plenty knocking about.

    Edit:

I've also found these guys brilliant for clothing and other stuff: http://www.shootercbgear.com/

    Edit 2:

Also, if you're not wanting to fork out ridiculous amounts of money for gear then simply go second hand. The decent stuff takes years and years to come close to showing wear and so is generally available in very good condition.

I'm not sure why I even considered the goggles and glasses from that site to be honest I know I was something more solid than that. I'll have a look through that site too thanks.

I'm not on that tight of a budget really, I think I'm actually gonna go for ballistic glasses with a zan neoprene mask for eye and face protection.

  10. I dont see it as a risk because I would only recommend something I know is good. Shipping can be expensive just try not to buy anything too heavy or too large. I use them all the time and its saved me a fortune.

True point, well the flashlight you said definitely looks good. I can post a picture of my basket for you to have a peep through if you don't mind, see if you've had any experience with any of the bits.

  11. Thats what the forums are for learning and getting help. We all have made mistake buys its part of it, do you a deal if I recommend something and you buy it on my say so and I am wrong I will buy it off you full price shipping and all.

Yeah that's very true. Haha a generous offere but its my risks to take not yours. I actually made a little basket from airsoftclub (about 120 dollars) and it came to 100 dollars shipping! Still think it's cheaper than buying stuff here as long as the quality is okay but I'm going to have a look at a few English stores first I think.

  12. Dont buy it its sh*te the laser doesn't work the torch isnt great and it looks bloody ugly.

Get the m910 its about £3 more to buy and a better £3 you will never spend.

that's the problem, have no idea what these things are going to be like and also returns is just not gonna happen haha.

  13. Yeah get the face protection first. Especially as you might not like what you first purchase and it can be quite game breaking, eye protection can be horrible if it fogs up or your eyes don't like mesh for instance.

Yeah I've only used the rental face masks at reading and they're not great, would like goggles and full face protection ideally

  14. Just worry about face and eye protection for now and pick the rest up later. You can chuck your spare mag in your pocket and the iron sights on the gun are fine for the mall. Just grab a cheap torch to use getting up and down the stairs I think weapon torches are a bad idea they just make you an easy target.

Edit: They sell cheap forgrips for a tenner in the site shop and also torches and weapon lights.

despite complaining I'm happy to buy the stuff I'm just trying to find a way to make it all cheaper really. I know a weapon torch is silly to use often but it's nice to have it there on a pressure pad for when you do want it. There's a cheap foregrip + torch with laser for about 25 dollars on the site you mentioned which seems good.
  15. You only got that because it was a gift so dont show off or brag too much, or I might load up with 0.4s and see how many times I can shoot it before it dies 😒

Dont spend too much on torches and sights think of them as consumables as they quite often get shot out or smacked off something. Look at the airsoftclub website they are a Hong kong store and sell decent stuff a lot cheaper than uk stores.

Okay great I'll have a look on there. Only problem I find with things like that is it can be harder to tell what sort of product you're getting and often a lack of reviews etc too.

  16. Torches - Night Evolution tactical torches on Apex_Tac on Ebay. They're clones of Surefire lights and cost less than the equivalent Emerson clones. I've got three now.

I have one of the "multi-reticle reflex" sights from Amazon that cost about £12 and it's well worth the money for CQB.

Okay so just the whole range, do you know which one specially that you use, the price of them ranges considerably.

Yeah well the reviews for the clife red dot isn't bad but I was just mindful of the fact it's only £15 or so, seems too cheap!
