  • well yesterday's pewing was interesting, mostly stock jg ak outshooting my polarstar, says a lot about madbull blue hop rubbers.....

(to clarify the p* had the madbull rubber and it was all over the show)

Those madbull buckings are very hit and miss. I've tried the blue and the red and my guns didn't like either. Loads of fliers.

Prommy purples, G&G greens, Or if you have a barrel that can take it the Maple leaf 50's.

I just stick stock TM hop rubbers in all my guns .

yeah, twas a madbull blue i dropped in as i was quickly taking the rhop out (which is deadly accurate but skies ammo still) and it was the only one i had pre-cut as a flathop, needless to say i'll either be getting the rhop filed down to stop the fliers or i'll pop a g&g green in there as a flathop.

the jg ak i'm pretty pleased with, recently the gearbox rebuilt but nothing special internally but she was still shooting dead straight on the stock hop and barrel.

Damnit, opportinity to test the m4 hop at a mates (with an adequately sized field) and of course the air tank has leaked dry.

Guess im gonna have to actually take the reg off after games.

No, it was still set at it's operating pressure, just the qd valve holding it. ahh well guess tis a learning experience.

The reg is still showing pressure but the bottle has dropped.

well, if i'm going tomorrow i have a recently dsg'd ak to take, but been absolutely lashing down today so might be a bit damp even for me so might give it a miss.

welp, busted my 2 working aeg's yesterday, had to end up running around with the vsr which does not shoot well enough to be effective.

Sometimes having a decent back up pistol is handy, for those "just in case" moments, or hell just for fun ?

lol, fortunately pistols is one area i'm well furnished, given that i had the mighty makarov stuffed in a pocket for those moments when they're too far away for the vsr to engage :P

    Adolf Hamster
    Adolf Hamster
well, the f2000 straight up busted the rear tooth off the piston, dunno what brand the piston was but it's had an shs dropped in and the angle of engagement tweaked so fingers crossed it might last this time.

oh god oh god oh god.

the mg42 hpa conversion is nearly done.

    am i evil?

i haven't, but i suspect any poor bugger on the recieving end of this gun might.....

    well, m4 didn't explode.

but computer says no to not firing on auto....

Lucky for some! My fuse blew first game with it!

it just goes full auto the moment you connect the battery, think the etu's fried.

however it did get some glorious kills before that happened.

hmmm, contemplating if putting an rmr on the hicapa is a good idea or not, plus side being cheatmode aiming, downside being screwing with the snappyness/effeciency?

note to self: next airsoft thing i think of trying "for science", don't do it, it's not worth it....

i summoned satan, turns out he's russian, and very very angry.....

well, vsr has gone from working to not working, think the sear is worn just past the edge of holding properly.

well it is if like me you can't leave well enough alone, the moment a gun looks like it'll work for longer than a few weeks i'm like "needz moar rof" or "needz moar accuracy"

Well I spent around £100 getting an ex Thundermaul JG M4 up n running only to find it was way too hot. I have a spring to downgrade it but I'm dreading splitting another JG gearbox, because when the Sig packed in after half a day from my attempt to degunk the gear box of that JG earwax they use and is now in pieces with a jammed trigger.

    Good job I bought the 417 ?

oh god *flashbacks of working on the jg aksu*

some designs are better than others, the mg and the f2000 are absolute dreams to work on, the mg splits into 2 bits and is easy removed, and the f2000 is all modular so you just strip to get the bits you need.

as far as i'm concerned quick release mainsprings and trigger retention screws should be mandatory.

well, i done fixed the vsr for the most part, might need a new mag for feeding proper and a scope mount, but after that it's just tweaking and pewing.

Well, have me a boneyard vsr now, to fix or not to fix and jump straight into "upgrades" that is the question?

    P
    Prisce
Depends if you want to keep it. And which VSR. If your keeping it, upgrades. If not, fix and sell on.

^^ What he said, did you acquire said Boneyard today?

    Adolf Hamster
    Adolf Hamster
Yep, i've worked on it previously and i know it's been pseudo deactivated and what it needs.

Urgh, big days airsofting tomorrow and i'm not hopeful i'll be well enough to play. Damn you biology!

Well i've heard theres going to be enough tag rounds to make even the americans say "hang on a minute" turning up, plus ofc i'm surely not the only nutter who's bringing a 40 mike

    G
    GemsHD
Hopefully I can get a shot of the 40 Mike going off

Hmm, should i paint the f2000 olive?

    Adolf Hamster

i was thinking more belgian army style, although given it's plastic and the base colour is that sort of earth colour fn uses so when it wears in it'll have marks in that colour.

Have a look at the plastic soldier company war spray range. They have a US tank green and it's lovely. I have an M4 sprayed up with it if you want to see it.

No. F2000 always looks best black. Just like a Scar H always looks best tan.

I think the only colour change one could get away with in an F2000 is white if you’re playing in the snow like last years Christmas games.

proud owner of 2 new 40 mikes, go ahead, lay the hate on me :P

    Adolf Hamster
    Adolf Hamster
sadly i suspect there's not just going to be me running about with 40 mikes, i've also heard there's enough tag rounds to equip the us army going as well :P

Oh lawrd, this will be an interesting day of airsoft

    Adolf Hamster
    Adolf Hamster
it's gonna be madness if they don't open up more area, first time i went there was about 100 folk and i've heard sunday's more likely to be around 200.

so the mg might be getting a little "upgrade" to turn it into something as scary in airsoft as the real one is on the battlefield.....

well, for the 6th time "i've got the f2000 to feed"....

only problem is it's a little low on the ol' fps and i lack the spring to get it up to par.

don't you just hate when something isn't working and you're damned if you can figure out whats wrong with it....
