Two sites, which is best

Two sites, both alike in dignity, near fair Billaricay, where we lay our scene....

So this Sunday I'm looking at going to either Airsoft Plantation or Skirmish Billaricay. AP seems to get mentioned on here more but SB is far easier to get to from the station so I'm after people's opinions on which is the better site and why
 
I have played at both, but will always choose AP unless someone else really wants to go there.

Why? I find that the games are better structured and I prefer the physical layout of the site. Also, Skirmish feels a little too commercial to me; it almost feels like it is more about the shop, which is very good although rather expensive, than the Airsoft.

Skirmish also has a lot of the tables in the open, which is awkward when it rains.

We both know where the real best site around that area is...

AP is maybe the only place I've been to in many years that I'd have an enthusiasm to re-attend, if the same guy is still the main man running it he's one of the best head marshals I've experienced in the business. Actually speaks to paying customers with enthusiasm, which is a welcome change from the all-too-frequent 'you lot are just an annoyance I have to tolerate so here's a patronising tone'.

And yes I know a good few players out there are knobs, but at least me show that I am one before talking to me as one.

John is still running it and is still the same.
 
Thanks for all the replies, just from this page the choice is clear. AP it is

Thinking about it I'm sure I've been to Skirmish Billaricay donkeys years ago when they first opened and it wasn't great
 
I've been to both and AP was definitely my favourite both for the staffing and the layout of the site and the structure behind the games. That's not to say Skirmish was bad, I simply liked AP more.

I was a bit apprehensive about playing the first time because of the self testing on the chrono but I don't recall any injuries or complaints attributed to hot weapons so everybody I've played with and against of all the times I played there seemed to play honestly.
