Hi all.

Did a search and couldn't find a post on this.

Looking to get a better battery charger. I have mostly deans, but also a few tamiya. Mostly LiPo but have a NIMH for my Thompson and another type I forget. (Will change both soon.)

Any recommendations for something safe but not gonna break the bank please?
Thanks

I was hoping for something I could run off this when out

I've had a couple of IMAX B6 AC chargers for a few years now. Probably clones, but have been superb. Very cheap, and usually come with a wealth of connectors. Will charge both nimh and lipo, and will put your batteries into storage mode too after a game day .

I'll do some research on those 2, thanks everyone. On looks alone i like the 1st one most, but obviously that's not the best way to choose.
Thanks for the quick replies everyone.

Thanks for the advice. I went for 2 in the end, the T100 and the isdt 608pd.
The latter being a more portable for game days and the t100 a better one to discharge and ensure longevity of my batteries.
Cheers

Out of interest, why do you need one for game days?
Good question... 😆
I have a 28 hour mil sim coming up, thought might be useful. But probably not essential as I have a ton of batteries.
I also like to have a back up, just in case. The 608pd can be run off a power bank or usb C. It's portable and tiny. Would probably leave it in the car. (I keep spare gas and bbs in the spare wheel well at all times. Having forgotten or ran low before)

I promised my existing charger to a mate too.

I'm an addict, I know it.

Usually at 'milsim' you've got a mag limit? Couple of hundred bbs? Doesn't require you to have all that much mAh capacity for the weekend. There's a lot of larping and not a massive amount of shooting. Depends on the event etc but you shouldn't really need that much battery capacity for the weekend.

Quick note - gas cans can go boom in cars in the peak of summer. If I'm teaching egg sucking my apologies but had to mention it in case.

Some good points, especially about the gas cannister. I might remove it then. Thanks.
Finally figured out how to work the charge, not great with technology.

I'm guessing it's a case of better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
That's my philosophy. Have .20s and .28s in there. Son and his mates can hammer thru it. And I'm as bad. Adding a DMR (vmp2md) to the collection now, so probably be using a lot less. In theory anyway, as I brought 7 mags for that and it's little brother the vmp2c. Made sense as the son carries a vmp2 as his back up to his shotgun so I ditched my aap-01 and opted for a platform the same magazines. Getting barrel swapped and some internal work done before it gets to me. Very excited as I only used a sniper or my aegs.
