Cringe in Airsoft

In all walks of life their are dickheads

Speedsofters whether ‘real’ or just dressed up have a reputation at general Airsoft games / walking
Equally speedballers whether ‘real’ or dressed up also have a reputation at general paintball games / walkons

Re speedsofters, cant say ive knowingly met any or played against any of them, unfortunately pretty much every video ive ever seen showing "speedsofters" ?, has always shown them in a poor light, overshooting people with guns with ridiculous rates of fire, & then having a tantrum or row about it.
So if that's the limit of my experience, I'll guess its similar for other players, so not any wonder that assumptions are made, often incorrectly I guess ?🤔

This. The videos I've seen tend to show that too, but as goontube videos are so highly edited so I tend to take them with a big pinch of salt. However the few times I've come across speedsofters on site a noticable proportion of them fit the steriotype that they couldn't hit a thing without a stupidly high rof and spaffing rounds all over the place.

What qualifies a real Speedsofter is someone that actually plays Speedsoft …. I mean if I wear a f1 racing suit and helmet and drive my Ford fiesta to the shop does this make me a f1 driver ?

I never complained about anything I’m simply saying that it’s not the nicest of feeling going to cqb now and again and dealing with hate towards us and unpleasant behaviour towards us for absolutely no reason. Your dye wearing non hit calling over shooting cqb players are not speedsofters but because the lack of knowledge we get tarnished by that . Make it make sense bro ?

No, an F1 driver needs a Super Licence for a start, which has a points-related competency. Using the word speedsoft in a definition of speedsofter is a circular definition. Try harder by putting forth a competency that a speedsofter is required to have without using the word.

I'll ask again. How can you verify that those speedsofters have never played in a speedsoft arena, only in CQB airsoft? If you can make that assertion without evidence, it can be dismissed without evidence.

Re Speedsofters:

The problem is the opinion certain speedsofters have that any CQB site should conform to their playstyle. If I go to a specific speedsoft event I expect hpa'd capa's with murder boxes/m4 mags on them. I do not expect all players to use limited capacity mags.

However I have witnessed speedsofters turning up to a specifically marketed limited ammo no winding mags game at a cqb site and complaining bitterly that after having to scroll past this information no they couldn't use box mags on pistols etc.....

Also (as noted above) certain players do like to use "its okay in speedsoft" as an excuse for various pre-firing, overkilling etc shenanigans. "Sorry mate I was feathering the trigger (on a ridiculous rps setup with a binary trigger)" for example.

Cringe. When people use CoD terms to refer to real life "map" "game mode" "killstreak" for a few. Oh and "deagle".

noooo 😂 how can they be a speedsofter if they never even played Speedsoft ? They literally just cqb players in dye masks lol which is funny actually cuz speedsofters don’t actually wear dye masks 💀 and we definitely don’t run around like these headless chicken dye masks wearing cqb guys 😂 that said I’ve seen one or two of them guys try Speedsoft for the first time and they usually go home early because they think Speedsoft is running around like they do in cqb lol reality is we literally don’t move 😂 I think one full game of cqb is more moving than we do in a 8 hour session of Speedsoft lol

Not moving doesn't sound very speedy to me. Perhaps you need to reexamine your definition of soeedsoft

You’ve said it there @Rogue88 with “speed soft not being about running”
Sounds like you are describing tournament play, and have contradicted your definition of a ‘real speedsofter’

Speedball is a style of playing paintball, commonly associated with paintball tournaments but is only one tiny element of the style for closing off to take the point
I expect the same of Airsoft tournaments

Speedsoft / speedball as aggressive running around in sprints aligns very well with enclosed / CQB environments and especially so when there is something to be gained from the suicide run element (especially with prompt respawn methods)
