Posting costs from U.K. Airsoft Shops

Ebaybanned has gone ?, you could have broken that to me a bit easier, I loved that place 😢

While I agree, time is money, so costs have to come from somewhere, but if i walked in to a store & asked for info or the benefits of a part, even if its only £15-£20 worth, no ones gonna say "& here's an added surcharge for me talking to you for up to 15 minutes"
Retailers should consider how much business they probably lose due to excessive postage charges, after all the buyer has probably spent the same amount of time inputting their delivery info, if a seller cant quickly utilise & transfer the same info on to labels etc, maybe they need to consider updating their equipment.
Having worked retail If the person serving you hasn't up sold you for that much time spent they aren't doing their job. Regards posting you can only stream line the process so much. You have to get the item out of stock, package it, up print a label, most likely frank it( the company will be paying a fee to have a franking machine) you are still talk 5 to 10 mins of staff time. Once again the cost of postage is more than the the courier fee, chasing sales that loose you money is not a good business model.

I mean we're constantly hearing about The Death of the High Street and this is the crux of it. No, a small business cannot offer you what Amazon can on a price or convenience basis.

They're hamstrung by actually paying their taxes and ideally having their employees being able to take piss breaks.
