    AirsoftFaceProUk - anyone have any experience with them? Ordered 4 masks from them back in Aug since they make them in German patterns. Seller was very communicative, and even offered to bump my order to rush shipping to try and make a MilSim. Unfortunately they werent done in time (quoted 4 week turnaround when I bought, so thats OK. Come to Oct 8 - seller says shipped and will update with tracking at end of day. Nothing since, despite two follow up emails from me. If I had tracking and they were just stuck in customs or something then completely fine - I am in the US after all. But the lack of communication since is a bit concerning.

    Products are great, lead times / overpromising & communication from this guy is horrendous TBH. Ordered a couple of face masks previously, both times got to the point of raising a PayPal dispute before he got his backside in gear

    Either cancel with him & get a refund / threaten this

    Another company does these mesh snoods, Delta Mike FacePro - Turnaround times quick & keeps regular stock, would go to them all day long TBH

    +1 for Delta Mike, spoke to him at 3.30 on Thursday, had it posted same day and with me pre 10am Friday as I had an event that weekend. Definitely recommend

    Doubt it, but anyone have a P* F1 and F2 lying around? Trying to get accurate measurements to adjust one of Bingo's gearbox shells to fit the apparently slightly different F2.

    the big thing with both of them is the protrusion for the airline input (which the jack doesn't have), but aside from that if it'll fit a standard aeg cylinder+head it'll fit either.

    if memory serves the profile for the protrusion is about 5mm*5mm.

    Afaik its more than just that. The shell I have printed fits the F1 just fine theoretically. I sent it off to the shop to have an engine installed in it, they say the F2 doesnt fit and want to know if I want to just buy a F1. Id much rather go with an F2 but dont know the sizing differences, and I dont really want to have them send the gun back to me for me to do that hopefully simple meausrement and then send it back to them.

    indeed it is, my memory failed me- the solenoids extend back further than the cylinder.

    if you're going for accuracy then definitely put the work in for the f2, the open bolt systems (jack, f1) just can't deliver the goods (they basically have an air-leak by design).

    sadly i can't help with proper measurements, gave up on the hpa a while back now.

    Sorry to hear that mate, rotten end to a fun day.  Some git nicked my green gas last game I played.  Just annoying, but not the feeling you want from a game based on trust!

    Might bring as small die set from work home and stamp stuff like mags etc too having a think.

    See, sometimes Airsoft Apps like HopUp can be just an abysmal place to try to buy and sell. No, a new barrel in your CM16 does not make it worth 400 quid. But every once in awhile something amazing happens - you get a Krytac LMG upper, r-hopped inner barrel, and two box mags for 180. Or you get 5x Gen 1 SR-25 P-mags for 100. Or, like this time, you get 2x leak free KWA Vector Short Mags for the low price of 110 quid. Now thats a bargain haha.

    Just had a guy offer me one of the dual drums - should I take it or hold off hope for a single? I talked to both Tapp and Black Variable and both are at least 3 months out before they can release anything.

    Turns out it’s one of Reapers mags. The one who went AWOL a few years back. It’ll be about 150 quid which is decent - Tapp is around 120 and BV 100 so I am paying a bit more, but oh well.

    Oh thats wonderful. Well, OK not the CT, but that hes still around. A bunch of us had no idea where he went a few years back. Well, if you talk to him let him know that Ive got two of his old mags and they still work wonderfully :D

    Well, after CA was useless in answering my questions concerning issues with it, the Minigun is back together aaaand... Still not working properly... And now Im out of air so no more testing for awhile... *Sigh*

    Well, shooting... Its an older gun and needed new hop rubbers, but CA hasnt actually told me where I can find them. So I tried replacing them on my own to no avail. Good news though - I found another tank that had air so I can at least work on other HPA projects.

    Yea, and a pretty wack version as well. back when I was talking to CA about fixing it they said it was likely the hop rubbers, so I bought 6 new hop rubbers. Then I open it up aaaaand... Oh well, I can always use spare hop rubbers so its not technically a waste. The M134s use a flat strip of cylindrical tubing about the diameter of a hop nub that goes all the way around and that is the hop.

    Anyone know what the STAR L86 gearbox is like? Mine of oh so many years has finally failed, but I am yet to open it. I was thinking of HPQing it, but I do not know if it is a standard v2 gearbox, or how different it is.

    if you're hpa'ing it then you only really need it to have a standard sized cylinder.

    the likes of the polarstar/wolverine drop-in systems can be wired to existing trigger contacts and have a variety of nozzle lengths available (you can always get a longer one and turn it down if needs be).

    you can also get an offset nozzle if needed.

    Great. Yea that answers all of my questions. Knowing it’s Ares means I can get diagrams easily, as well as knowing it’s a standard cylinder.
