  • 38 years old and I'm still fussy about wearing the correct day of the week socks. My life has changed so much from when I was a child..

I wore a christmas sweater (totally off season) that looked like it was knitted by my mother yesterday. Top that #oldmanstyle.

You used a hashtag, Tariq. You can't be doing that bad..

Another quick gun question for a friend. ASG M60 or King Arms M8? Weight and size isn't an issue for him as he was in my platoon back in the army and so he is used to a weighty weapon.

Had one for a very small while, stupidly sold it. But then at £1000 new, it was a little bit expensive to own just as a wall piece.

Going to a new site later this year with a 350 FPS limit on AEG's which is most sites around the UK I believe.

Changing a spring is pretty straightforward but I'd take it to a store and 1) ask them to chrono it and 2) get them to change the spring if it needs it. Where did you get it from?

Bought it off this forum some time back.

    Get it chrono'd somewhere then.

A good friend of mine is in a little bit of a crisis on whether to buy a G&G L85 or an ICS L85. Anyone own/ owned one that can shed some light on this matter?

Sorry, if your friend gets one - would do well if I started reading stuff in full!

from what I hear, I would go for ICS. send a line to Ed thou! I'm sure he be glad to help you!

Anyone got a pile of functioning Mid-Cap (not Low-Cap) AR-15 compatible magazines (i.e P-Mags, STANAG mags) that they would sell for £15 inc shipping?

Anyone know where to get a tonne of patches for a BDU and vest super cheap? Trying to avoid eBay and Amazon so any sites would be appreciated.

So browsing though 7.4v LiPo batteries today and noticed they all say (12c), (15c) or (20c) etc. I understand it's how many cells it has but what does it effect? It's power? It's charge life?

30C is a bit too high, and 20's a little low.....

So Goldilocks should choose a 25c that is just right

sorry just being silly once again

I have bought some of these:

    ebay item: 131212457347

yes needs a converter but size is perfect fit for some guns - max oomph for a compact size - use an adpter lead atm but will resolder some tamiya on there eventually - just size shape is good for me

    2 cell = 3 wires for 7.4v lipo

    3 cell = 4 wires for 11.1v or 9.9v life batteries

Will an M120 spring will give around 340 to 350FPS? Also, what kind of motor will be required to effectively use the gun at that FPS? (Specific brands please I already know I will need a high torque)

    DEDSEC
    DEDSEC
    Righto. What motor?

    Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies
    Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies
M120 should give up to 400FPS depending on the air seal quality. No point in purposefully going with a weak motor. Go for the SHS High torque or ZCI high torque motor. AK2M4 are a good shop to buy the ZCI motor from and you can find SHS high torques anywhere. Both are reliable and fantastic bang for buck, both are the better motors around.

    Brilliant, thanks buddy.

Does anyone have a Holographic sight that would swap/ trade for an Aimpoint Comp M2?

So I need a belt of 5.56x45 NATO round or .223 rounds for a M249 SAW MK2. I've seen plenty of dummy belts with cheesy looking metal bullets, but I'm more after real rounds that have been emptied. Can anyone help me in finding a belt of approximately 10 to 20 real 5.56x45 or .223 rounds without a £30+ price tag?

Haha ok good news they do sell them bad news they never had any worse news they think they sell for bout 30 pounds so still no good

    A&K ACR or A&K M249 SAW?

    Lozart
    Lozart
6.03 is fine, you don't have to go PDI either. Any half decent tightbore will do - this is a support weapon we're talking about here not a 17lb, full auto sniper rifle! It's just that the original A&K barrel is a bit pants and a better hop rubber never hurt anyone.

    A 17lb full auto sniper sound's good. ;)

Would a high torque motor damage a M90 spring then?

but he's just changing the motor so can't check for either of those things.

personally I'd do one thing at a time, get higher discharge rate batteries first as they're the easiest thing, then if that's not enough look to replace the motor.

    Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies
    Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies
I always start with simple things like Deans connectors and a rewiring job, before diving in the GB and tuning. I generally don;t recommend swapping parts unless you REALLY need to since most stock parts are grand

    DEDSEC
    DEDSEC
Thanks guys, like jcheese said, just looking to swap the motor as is kind of sluggish. However like he also said it's probably because I use a 9.6v Nickel battery. Dean connectors and a 7.4v lipo then?

"Ultra Torque" or "Max Speed" motor?

    Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies
    Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies
Torque. Speed motors heat up and sh*t themselves from any bit of stress. With torque you can run a high speed gearset and get better ROF,trigger response and more efficiancy overall

    AK47frizzle
max speed is when you want high rof with high ratio gears like 18:1 or 32:1. Torque motors are for high speed gears and powerful springs because normal stock motors aren't strong enough to pull them
