Acetech MiniLoader – another contender in the electric speedloader market?

It seems like the electric speedloader market is becoming a bit of a battleground at the moment, with more manufacturers getting involved and trying to improve on what was already available.

Acetech are the latest to throw their hat into the ring with the new MiniLoader, which is currently available for pre-order, with a release date still to be confirmed.

Acetech MiniLoader – Official Product Page

At around £80–90, it's going straight up against the likes of the T238 Lite and the Autobot, rather than being a cheap alternative to the usual manual speedloaders.

On paper, it looks pretty interesting. Acetech are advertising loading speeds of up to 20 BBs per second, four memory presets, fill and purge modes, and support for both AEG and GBB magazines with the supplied adapters. It also has a quoted battery life of up to 25,000 BBs per charge and a 150,000-round warranty.

However, I think the biggest selling point here isn't the loading speed or the screen. It's the bottle-fed design.

Most of the electric loaders on the market have a built-in reservoir, which is fine until you want to change BB weights. If you're running different weights through different platforms, or your mates use different BBs, switching between them can become a bit of a faff.

With the MiniLoader, the idea of having multiple bottles ready to go, each filled with a different BB weight, is genuinely appealing. Swap the bottle, purge the handful of BBs left in the feed tube, and you're ready to go again.

No messing around trying to empty the entire loader before refilling it with a different weight. Anyone who regularly switches between a sniper rifle, an AEG and a GBB pistol will probably appreciate the convenience. It's also a nice option if you're the person in your squad who ends up loading everyone else's magazines.

Of course, advertised speeds and capacities only tell you so much. Reliability, how well the adapters work with different magazines, how consistently the loader counts BBs and how it handles stiff springs are all things I'd want to see tested properly before deciding which is best.

Would I buy one?

Honestly, probably not right now. I've literally just bought the T238 Pro, so buying another electric speedloader would be a bit ridiculous!

That said, I do like what Acetech are trying to do here. The smaller footprint is appealing, and the bottle system seems like a genuinely useful bit of design rather than a gimmick. whack some sound proofing in those bottles somehow to lessen the maraca noise and you have a nice option for in game refills

I can see the MiniLoader being particularly useful for anyone who runs different BB weights across their platforms, or who regularly helps other people reload their magazines. Being able to keep a few bottles ready to swap between could save a surprising amount of hassle over a game day.

The big question is whether the convenience justifies the price, especially when the T238 Lite or the Autobot are already established

At the moment, it's all based on the advertised specifications, of course. The MiniLoader is still on pre-order, so there's no hands-on verdict from me, and I'd be interested to see how it performs once people actually get them in their hands.

Still, I think it's an interesting addition to the market. The electric speedloader arms race seems to be moving beyond simply making them faster, and the ability to switch BB weights without emptying the whole unit is something I can definitely get behind.

What do you reckon? Is the interchangeable-bottle design enough to make the MiniLoader stand out, or would you stick with a T238, Autobot or Vanguard?

Edit: I was bored at work :ROFLMAO:

I got the T238 Pro a couple of days ago. I am still waiting for delivery, but it was a hard choice between the Pro and the Lite. I don't think I will use it much out in the game, so I figured the larger one would suffice for my needs.

I think for pistol mags, it's all about the angle you hold the mag. A few people have said it has to be the right angle or it will just push the mag away.

I'm actually pretty tempted as I like the compact design so won't take up to much space in the kit box. But does it use those propriety bottles or can it be used with any bottles? Also allot of bbs come in bags as well.
