Looks like they're finally making one.

Not sure about this bit.. 😕

"This is a "purely domestic" model, with all parts manufactured and assembled in Japan. *This product is for distribution within Japan only."

I imagine they'll find a way over here one way or another... Won't be cheap though

I thought TM weren't interested in the rest of the world anyway and all their stuff outside of Japan were grey imports. How would this be any different?

Yeah i thought that too. Maybe they're going to ask retailers not to export them? Not sure how it'd work, or if that's just lip service for Howa?

From what I read they are primarily being produced for Japanese military training maybe there is actual legal restrictions in this case.

That would make sense but they make no mention besides "This product is for distribution within Japan only."

They don't explicitly say it's subject to restricted sales but it could be. 🤔

If I had MWS mags I grab one for sure (if they actually did get exported). Most likely will be that bit better made than other TM stuff both inside and out, lot of cool markings, great replica of a nice (but not so well known) modern military weapon.

Personally I'd just wait until someone like fire-support or Eagle6 gets them in. They're usually good for TM stuff in the UK

Or at the very least I'd look at reputable Asian shops like JK Army or Impulse101

I may be losing my mind here, but is that site actually TM's? I remember there was one floating around that very, very much looked like it was, but said appearance was.. well, just an appearance.

I never found a link to that site on TM's actual website. On there, there's a 'Shop list' page broken down by areas of Japan. Might have missed something but I recall this discussion being had before. The .com site might still be right granted, but equally I seem to remember some people having issues when ordering from there.

Ed - ninja'd (That's a throwback)

No, it isn't. https://www.tokyo-marui.co.jp this is TM's actual website.

TM themselves have also confirmed that the fake website isn't them via twitter. It's essentially nothing more than a dropshipper with added dodginess to boot

I’m sure one of the AFUK regulars wink wink nudge nudge will find a way to get one and then sell it grossly over retail 🤔😂
