Does the fuse have a case that protects it?

The 2 cut wires were isolated and the power turned off thru the mosfet.Well, the metal ball is not from a bearing anyway; it has bushings, Could those two cut wires have been touching anything? If not, you will probably need to open it up and see if you can see a problem (Blown mosfet, gears too tight, obvious damage); before doing that, maybe try the motor in another gun to make sure it is ok.
I've kinda reached the limits of my skills... I've put it away for now. I only got it out to check it before I sold it. Trying to find a new house purchase. Can't sell it unless it's a 100% and it obviously isn't. Shame. Sold my krinkov and my HK. Just the tac41 to go. I'm keeping the rest. Then you are into fault finding mode; it is worth checking the motor in another gun in case it is the problem. However, without being able to see everything in detail, my money might well be on the Jefftron.
I'd say the little metal ball bearing is from the fire selector
If it's firing in full auto no matter where the selector is then it could be he selector plate
Thats what mine looks like didn't have a spring in it tho.I could be wrong but I thought (from the factory) the MP5 selectors don't use a ball-bearing rather it's like a little metal cap with a short spike that sits in the detents for the fire selector positions - see pic. That said if it's second hand and someone has lost this cap, they could have replaced it with a ball-bearing.

It could have been in the floor a while, it's my gun room and I work on all my guns on the floor. Crosman airguns have a BB like that inside the safety catch. I was using a head torch and it caught my eyes. I don't hoover in there often...I'd say the little metal ball bearing is from the fire selector
