Uploading video in chat

Relatively new to this forum, and today ran into a problem uploading a video to a chat about a sale.

I uploaded a mvide this morning that was 12mb, but tried to do another this afternoon and said I could only upload files up to 2.09mb

can anyone explain the limits ?

Have a look in your account profile for your attachment quota.

The limit is not the size of individual files, but the combined total of all your attachments.

You probably had about 14mb available this morning and now just have 2mb left after the 12mb file 

An alternative is to host the file elsewhere then link it

eg upload to YouTube, set it as unlisted and share the direct link
