Is bypassing a fuse ok?

So i was watching a youtube video where “the airsoft tech” bypassed his fuse and i was wondering if thats ok? 

A fuse is a piece if wire that breaks/blows when too much current flows through it. So its used as a safety procaution. Common sense tells me itsa good idea to keep the fuse as it will prevent too much current from going into the motor and trigger connections making it less liking to damage them. However, ive read thing online where people say they have upgraded aegs and they dont use fuses for any of them and its fine? 

Is bypassing a fuse ok? Will it cause damage to the motor and trigger connections? Will the weapon perform better? Will the battery get damaged?

Upon installing a Mosfet, I remove the fuse. 

Stock guns have fuses, but then again my Gen 3 JG G36 didn't.

i'll confess to not running fuses, but then i do have mosfets in all my guns.

i wouldn't remove them if you don't have some other form of protection and you're confident in the integrity of the wiring.

I have yet to find a mosfet manufacturer that DOESN'T say that the fuse should be kept in place after fitting. The electronic fuse in a mosfet (if it even has one) can fail in an unsafe condition, an electrical fuse cannot so in good conscience and erring on the side of caution and indeed common sense I would never recommend that an electrical fuse be removed. Of course, if you're willing to accept the level of risk associated with the potential failure of an electronic fuse then go for it, it's your toy.

Not telling ANYONE to do it (my own personal choice) but I’ve always ditched the fuses as soon as I get a gun , never had any problems that anyone could have said “that faults was caused by stripping the fuse out!” Just saying . ?

I also bodged the connectors together when the fuse blew in my MP5 for some unknown reason.

I do prefer having them in.

Its a low chance but if there's a short circuit without a fuse the battery could catch fire.

Not heard of that ever happening tho.

Yes i would imagine that with a mosfet that would be acceptable. Im getting a spectre fet and i believe with that you can programme the amount of current you want to use. But dont quote me on that i havent research it enough but i feel like ive read that in the sales description ?

I would imagine having a moseft will be ok to run no fuse. Personally im not sure if ill do that for the reasons of “precaution” just as you said. Better be safe than sorry i suppose. Thanks for the input

I heard the battery couls catch fire. So i think ill keep the fuse. Thanks for the advice

I've removed the fuses from all my guns that had them.

The only thing you have to keep in mind that when it stops firing, you don't pull the trigger again. And it's harder than you think. You will give it a few pulls to see WTF, then a few long-long pulls to "fix" it, and that's when it burns something.

Why a Spectre though?

The reason why im choosing a spectre is because its bluetooth and i can connect it to my smart phone the titan mosfet isnt bluetooth so i think i need a computer/laptop. Also from what i read it seems good. Do you have any other suggestions? That may be better ?

Yeah the Titan you can still run it using a phone you just use the link cable supplied with the advance set. You download a handy little app and it is really easy to use. 

The Titan uses optical sensors rather than micro switches for the trigger which are far superior but then the whole set up is. Gate are easier to deal with than BTC if you have a problem and with the Gate dominating the market the spectre is basically a dead product. Btc can't compete as it is a small concern and Gate are a proper company.

Yup, I did that on my G36 when it locked up, because maybe on the next trigger pull it'll complete the cycle, it could happen.

Aaaand the fuse popped, which is why it's there.  The grip (i.e. the motor) was noticeably heating up by the time the fuse went.

Lesson learned, I won't be doing it again, so I can probably get by without a fuse now.  I'd hesitate to loan out an unfused gun though.
