Reliable GBB pistols these days?

Yes, as far as I know, the parts are made by WE, but to AW's specifications and with much better QC. 

They are handsome guns nicely put together, will take green gas and C02 (depending on mag) and seem to shoot straight. I just can't bring myself to sell mine. It may be blue, but it was manufactured that way and it looks nice. Strong blowback with green gas, so I would expect it to really kick with CO2. 

I might actually skirmish with it in the New Year. I have quite a few hicap mags - AW, WE and TM. They all fit.

I haven’t owned one but a buddy of mine does. It’s old, and well used, but still shoots brilliantly on CO2 with a wicked kick

Indeed I do!
It's my current favourite CQB primary. The rate of fire is immense. The trigger response is exceptional.
And because of the split slide, it sips gas.
The only thing I find irritating about it is that the outer barrel isn't threaded, which means I can't run a tracer.
If I could, I think it would be perfect.
Also - in terms of changing inner barrel / hop etc - there's no need, as it's spot on out of the box.

I’ve owned the HEX Glock, a Salient Arms 2011 and currently have an SAI BLU, all excellent but the first two I sold quickly as I didn’t get on with them.

Its the latest one, Gen 4 ? and yes it has full auto........empties a full mag very quickly !

Ugly as an ugly thing on an ugly day, bought it for £50 with two mags, passed it straight onto a buddy

They’re pretty decent, probably best all metal hi-capa off the shelf

Had a look at their catalogue, those split slide hi capas are sexy.

Around the same price as a TM tho (at least here, for no reason).

Will have a look at my other local shop, he has a few of the glocks in stock atm. If they perform well and the hi capas are on par (or superior ofc) I'm gonna order one..

When I bought my AW, I shot it alongside a TM HK45, a WE hicapa (of some description) and a TM Desert Eagle.
It was the best of the bunch by a country mile.
It felt so good to hold and shoot. The TM's, whilst accurate, just gave me zero feedback and no smile.
So although the AW was the same price - and could be said to not be "better", it all depends on what your definition of better is.
I have had so many lulz running round cqb with the AW and an extended mag. I played the same site with a TM p226 and mp9 - I put them away again after one round (and then sold them) and got my AW out again!
