Now that's really weird. I was posting a RIF the day before yesterday and checked the leaflet that was in the PO - it said you HAVE to send it PF48Express.Parcel force. Royal mail should take them according to their terms but there is always problems.
The plot thickens...
Just had a chat with our local Postmaster, who's under the impression you can use royal mail.
However, then we looked at the latest leaflet. (May 2018).
Given the wording, I'm still none the wiser...

The problem is with how it's written.Clearly states low powered air weapons must be sent with an express 48 hour service which is now known as Parcelforce48.
Long time ago Royal Mail had an express 48 hour service but it was discontinued a few years back.
I used to be a postman so I know how they treat packages, better off using Parcelforce.
The problem is with how it's written.
"Only low powered air weapons are accepted by parcel force worldwide"
That means that PF won't take high powered air weapons.
Had it been written like this, it would mean pf takes them and Rm doesn't.
"Only parcel force worldwide accepts low powered air weapons"
Hence why I'm confused.
There's what it says, what they think it means and what I think it means and then what it actually means.
And now my head hurts...
Erm, I know.....All rifs are low powered air weapons. Until the go over the joule limit. Then they come under the firearms act.
Erm, I know.....
The item in question wrt the wording could be almost anything - their meaning would still be ambiguous.
