Need advice (sniper rifles)

oh hang tight,.. how embarrasing that would be if i met you there ahah but yeah i do plan on going one day but i have no idea how to get started

But seriously @CyberSatan.exe if you don't know where to start it's easy. Call a local site and pay for a rental day. Put on some jeans and a shirt, turn up, take your hits and have fun. That's it. Don't read too much into it. Just get there and have fun.

ill do my best!

You don't even have to do that. Take hits, have fun. Honestly everything else is a bonus.

There have been a few knob jockeys at games I've been to and more than a few sound people who know how to have a laugh. You don't have to have all the gear, or even any gear. If you have gear, it gets cheaper, but if you don't you at least get to find out what style of play you like. So far I'm loving CQB. I have yet to do woodland, but I'm not even sure I want to do outdoors with the British summer. This is a fun activity, if it's not fun then you're doing it wrong.

Check their website for dates (most Sundays). The whole day will cost you £48 including gun and gear hire. Guns get booked up, so phone Combat South up about a week before, pay a deposit and make sure there's a gun for you on the day. Gear includes camo overalls and protective gear. Wear boots cos a turned ankle will ruin your day. Other than that darkish clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. The price includes lunch. You'll need to buy ammo, but £6 buys you a 2000 bottle. Be prepared to buy another one at lunch time. Carry water on you cos you'll be running around and it can be a trek back to the safe zone. Listen to what the marshals say and take your hits. They will shoot you to check and you'll be off the site if you're cheating. Just go with the flow. Don't hang back, get stuck in. Get close and make sure you're actually going to hit someone rather than blazing away from a distance. Smile.

That's about all you need to know.

england portsmouth
Loads of sites down that way:

South Coast CQB,  UKAP: The Bunker are a couple worth looking into. BASRs are not generally allowed in CQB environments though so again, you may want to reconsider your choice of airsoft gun.

Wow that's good value. I've played the Mall for a more than that and it's doesn't include overalls or lunch. It does include unlimited bb's and I've never used more than the first 2000 they gave me all day. I guess outdoors is more ammo hungry?

I Wouldn't say it's more ammo hungry, but as a noob you don't know how far the gun will shoot or how to judge distance, and because the ranges are greater you blaze away thinking you're going to hit something. My second game I used half the amount of ammo, and now I have my own guns and know their quirks I'm a lot more selective about when I pull the trigger. Although I am in the process of building a 40rps support weapon with a bloody great box mag for those days when you want to go full Rambo ...
