Sorta-not-really poll: would a riot helmet's visor count as eye pro?

Found an ex-issue riot helmet earlier in my local surplus store. It had what I'm assuming was a Makrolon visor. My question is...would any sites count the visor (provided it was always down) as eye protection? And would it be at all practical in airsoft?

I mean, it'd just depend. They probably would do, but I can't imagine it'd be the most comfortable bit of kit to wear on your head all day. It'll really just depend on a marshall-by-marshall status, however, BBs can probably still get under or through the side gaps of the visor.

No site is going to allow you to use that as eyepro. Don't get me wrong, it'll stop ANYTHING an airsoft gun can throw at it but they sit so far off the face and there's that nice big gap all round the bottom.

...and they fog up like you would not believe, if it's like the ones I've worn. Huge gaps underneath, but watertight seal at the top (stops the rioters 'liquid of choice' running into the wearers face!).

Just about the opposite of full-seal right there.

No... I said it's not full seal. Because as has been stated, there is enormous amounts of space underneath for BBs to get in.
