ARES M4 Plastic Mags too tight?

Hi there folks,

As my M4 project nears completion, I've started looking for mags. All I've got at my flat at the moment are ARES M4 plastic mags (everything else is at home due to lack of use), unfortunately, they're a real tight fit and even though they feed, they're gonna make reloading a minute-long process - doesn't really work for me!

So what I want to know is, if an ARES midcap is too tight, what's the best manufacturer to go for in terms of being slightly less of a tight fit?

Any advice much appreciated!

 
What body are you using? And what other mags have you got to try?

 
The body I'm using is somewhat rare, I've never seen another one in the UK and it's now discontinued, manufactured by V-Tech. I know nothing about them as a company, presume they're Chinese. It's a pretty nice bit of kit if you take it at weight and feel.

Mags-wise, I've got a wide range of stuff I could try, the issue is getting it posted up to me from home - and to be honest I'd rather buy new anyway just cause I want more metal mags whatever the result!

u cld allways try king arms i have some of there mid caps and they feed fine but due to the rare body your best bet is probs taking the rifle along to your local shop and trying a few brands to see which fits best.

dont v-tech make them kids computers ?

 
V-tech do make a lot of kids stuff, though I presume this particular "v-tech" isn't the same (although TM make toy trains and stuff, so who knows).

Either way, I think I'm gonna have to go down the local shop and try sticking some random magazines in my gun, what I'm really hoping is that green-label e-mags will fit nicely cause they've been wedged in the back of my mind since I started building the gun.

Little update to this.

With a little careful maneuvering and wiggling I managed to figure out the culprit! One magpul polymer trigger guard; sticking out into the magwell just enough to be in the way...Attacked it with a dremel, all is well with the world!

Also, anyone know anywhere that's got any Magpul Green Label eMags?

I'm after the big long ones indeed, windowed emags, not really fussed by pmags.

I'd prefer UK just for delivery times tbh, but I guess abroad would do.

 
Ehobby often get stuff to people quicker than uk companies, I for one have never had any issues
