Hi

Just bought a used WE SCAR L GBBR.

Has a problem with the trigger box, guessing its the standard M4 type?

The problem is that it fire on auto when on single.

I'm able to replace parts, but I just need to know what the issue is with the trigger box.

I have the WE Scar-H which had it's faults from cack handed teching by a previous owner, sorry I can't help with your current issue but worst case scenario is £35 + postage for a new trigger box. I've used KYairsoft for a few times for parts without any issues.

Firing full auto when on semi will be wear in the trigger parts. So either a replacement trigger box or the internals should fix it.

As ButcherBill said , KYairsoft are good for WE parts, I use them regularly for bits .

 
Sadly WE internals are made of cheese and need replacing.  I suggest the RA-Tech steel parts rather than buying the WE parts just to have them wear out again.  As the guys have said KYAirsoft should be able to help or RA-Tech website

That's not my experience . Both my L119's have had many thousands of rounds through them as has the L85. G3 and MP5 are relativly recent additions, but I've never had a compnant in the trigger box's fail. A mate did when some numpty forced his 119 into safe without cocking it first, so that was user error.  I have had way more issues with RATech parts than with the stock WE ones tbh. Same with my pistols, never had to replace parts due failure ( except the HiPower valve knocker which is fragile) despite some very hard use .

 
You must be lucky then had nothing but issues.  Thats the problem with WE, you never know what you are going to get

 
Well i don't play often so can't speak about longevity but the 'bolt' on my XM177 broke after very little use. not been used in a game since as I've not played since July.

Possibly, but I can only speak from experience . Mine have all been solid and continue to perform well with no issues. Ran the L119 A1 last Sunday untill the cold got to me and I called it a day. Gun ran flawlesley.

What actually 'broke' ? the casting itself ? nozzle ? nozzle spring ?

Nah. RATech shit just causes more problems than it solves. Not upgrades, just overtly expensive side grades.

I have had stock WE trigger boxes last in excess of 100k bb's, but it requires proper regular maintenance.

Do you mean the crenalations at the front that fit into the back of the hop unit ? If so , losing most of those wont stop the gun from working properly . Possibly losing all of them wont actually cause an issue.  One of mine is missing a pretty substantial section after I got heavy handed sorting out a broken up BB that got wedged in there after a miss feed .

They broke off & affected the performance at the time, enough to be relegated to the boot of my car, on closer investigation I found the issue & replaced it, the lugs are cosmetic but it was only £30 inc postage to replace it. I've kept it as spare parts as it fits my Scar-H too.

When this happened to mine I drilled a hole and glued in a small metal pin, it worked ?

To do what?

The lugs broke off & I'm sure it worked fine after I shook the bits out of the pew, I replaced it as it would keep me awake at night if I didn't ?

The front loading arm on mine snapped, the bit that pushed the BB out of the mag, thats the bit i drilled and tapped

 
Update, fitted a new trigger box. Found a new problem! It fires single shot on auto, auto on single and the safety works fine

 
Would anyone be able to share a photo of which way the cam should go in

Its a while since I had a mates SCAR apart , but I think that looks right. I'd suggest taking the selector out and flipping it end over end and try re installing . See if that does it.
