Decided to give 'teching' a go for the first time since starting airsoft almost 11 years ago now.

Soldering Iron starter kit from the component shop. I know there are better soldering iron options out there but I'm balling on a budget at the moment.

3 x sets of Deans connectors from the component shop. My G&P is still wired to mini deans from the factory, and my 249 + m14 are mini and large tamiya respectively.

Air-pad AEG Cylinder head Pad

Maple Leaf Omega Nub.

Xcortech x3200 from Airsoft zone

Super Lube and Liquid Silicon Oil. No idea what the former is, but can anyone advise me if my DIY approach to the KOA deluxe service doesn't work out.... is super lube latex safe? ??

Were they new from a shop? If so I'd be demanding a full refund as they were obviously not fit for purpose

Nothing too exciting this month, just a Cyma railed AK gas tube on my LCT AIMS. Tempted to swap the outer barrel/gas block/front sight for an AK104/5 length for a Romy Draco build. Aside from that saving for my next AK build, which will have to utilise a Gas RIF because I can't see how I'll build what I want with an AEG and get it to work. Any want to trade a brand new Lego Millenium falcon 75192, for a GHK AKM? ?

To revisit this, I've found that an old school tube loader works perfectly. 

Why VFC put a pistol loader in the box I don't know.

The G43 arrived yesterday and here's how it looks with the FTC mount

Picture is clear and it's not overly heavy.

The FTC has a slight wobble both when extended and retracted, but I don't think it's gonna annoy me too much

At about € 100 for the lot, can't really complain.

But thought it a good starter for my mate's youngest who we took out the other weekend.  Gearbox has a nice sound to it and seems pretty responsive.  Post Offices in Reading will not be safe again. LOL

Patrolbase were excellent in that the original one we chose wasn't in stock, but they price matched this and got it out for next day delivery with zero fuss.

A few things turned up from Evike Europe today and now I feel like a very special little snowflake (because who runs an m40a3 these days, let alone a gas one). I've wanted an airsoft m40a3 or m40a5 for over a decade and I'm glad I finally got one that is good! Most of the m40s around aren't to my liking (none of them are properly VSR compatible), but this one... I love the KJW/Tanaka m700 platform, and it's just that with a fancy m40a3/5 stock and shorter outer barrel. All that's left for this build is a nice Vortex scope and it'll be completely done!

Also will test out this adjustable bolt over the weekend. I think it will still require the gas routers to do most of the heavy lifting, but the screw in the bolt itself looks like it could be useful for fine tuning when I need to drop or gain like 0.1J or so a bit more consistently than adjusting the hammer spring tension.

Now I just need to get a few parts to finish the other m700...

I've had one in my cupboard for about 8 years now. Haven't run it in about 7.5 years as the aftermarket hop nub (spartan doctrine IIRC) isn't square. Might actually get round to getting the AAC version and using it

Love Helikons gear. I've got their Alpha Tactical Jacket in the Foliage Green and play it in year round. Might have to invest into one of their Windrunner jackets for when it begins to reguarly pish down.

Can't remember who used to make the m40a3 gas version (pretty sure there was one though), but the m700 based one is expensive, since you have to get the m700 then also get the conversion kit, but once it's together you get the m700 system behind it and the Action Army m700 hop unit is probably the best hop unit I've ever worked with.
