At the grand old age of 39, yes, I could be your father. You would have been 5 when I started playing Airsoft, and -1 when I started playing Paintball.
The reason I mention the Two-tone is because A) only a fucking idiot gets a £350 gun two-toned and B) It shows your inexperience.

Yeah it is the weird conundrum of sights for RIFs. Every cheapo red dot I have bought has suffered from horrible parallax. Maybe there are some good replicas out there but just got my Holosun and is a good medium ground between fancy optic but affordable.

wow missed something here and to be young again haha. on a different note i have just purchase a 5 pin lemo to nexus from JCI Comms. Really quick and did a great job
