Great scope just don't bother using it as I prefer red dots. 

Will work great on a DMR setup but I've been using it on a standard AR without issue. 

Does have illumination but when I tried it, it wasnt very bright on the highest setting. May have just been a dead battery. You don't need it though in my opinion.
