asg sp-01 slide catch compatibility

I am trying to make my ASG SP-01 very reliable.

The slide catch does not work as it is a very common problem.

I have seen this shadow 2 steel slide stop.

Would this be compatible with my ASG SP-01?

 

As I am getting a lot of opinions asking my tech friends, just wondering if anyone had already taken the leap as it is quite expensive.

That will start eating into your pot metal slide even faster than the stock one does.

I am guessing I should just give up on the slide release @Lyndication ???

Or do you know of any modifications I can do to fix it?
