CoolAndMistyMornings Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Hi I've decided to make an account here because I've been carrying this question around for years and never seem to get a straight answer. I'm hoping some of you might know more than the people I've asked before Basically there's a certain group of lads I've always noticed growing up and to be honest, they’ve had a massive influence on me during some really formative years. I don't even know what to call them, or if there is a name for their subculture. Every time I ask, people just reply with some really grim classist insult about working class people, which isn't what I'm asking for at all. I know that term, and it's not what I mean. What I'm talking about is: They wear Burberry baseball caps (not as often these days but it still pops up) Full tracksuits, usually matching top and bottoms. Air Max 95s Gold chains, rings, little earrings, a bit of jewellery in general. Caps + tracksuit + trainers + jewellery all together, not just one piece. They're into UK garage, bassline, drum and bass. Sometimes tribal looking tattoos. People of all age groups appear to be members of this subculture. It feels like there must be a proper name for this, the way goths or punks have their look + music + attitude. These lads have their own thing going. On a more personal note: a group of guys like this actually saved my life not too long ago. It's not something I want to go into detail about on here, but it cemented in me just how protective, loyal, and understanding they are. From a young age they were the people who treated me the nicest, and I've never forgotten that. I've decided more recently that I'd actually like to find a boyfriend, and honestly, these lads are my type through and through. The look, the loyalty, the music.. everything. But I feel completely lost because I don't even know what to call them when I try to search online. So yeah, if anyone knows whether there's an actual name for this subculture I'd really appreciate it. Even just a starting point so I can look into it myself would mean a lot. Thanks in advance! 🙂 Edited 2 hours ago by CoolAndMistyMornings
