dle Posted Wednesday at 18:38 Posted Wednesday at 18:38 Hey I’m looking at getting the vmp2 but unsure if to get the md or the d just wondering if anyone has any experience with these and advice on which one to get. Cheers
Paletraveller274 Posted yesterday at 17:59 Posted yesterday at 17:59 (edited) Own the D as well as M externals. The stock on the D is non-adjustable and may be too short; while the MD is just an enlarged version of the M with a different nozzle/stock. Choose the D if you plan to mount a full size marksman scope - the MD for a magnifier or LPVO. Of course, you may choose to replace the plastic externals anyway. Just be aware both are heavier than they appear. My advice would be to buy the M variant and use the money saved to purchase the Semi lower, that way it can switch between normal and DMR usage with a nozzle switch or Sabre NPAS. You can always install an extended inner barrel under a mock suppressor. Good luck. Edited yesterday at 19:34 by Paletraveller274
Darthwhite8 Posted yesterday at 18:21 Posted yesterday at 18:21 I have the 2M, if you want me 2p on it... Budget for an upgraded barrel at time of purchase as the stock is a strange 2 piece affair that's horribly inaccurate Because there isn't a sensibly priced aftermarket barrel the correct length, the most cost effective way is to get a more common "long pistol" barrel, which is about 145mm long As this is shorter than the stock barrel the power will drop, so you need to buy the excellent Sabre airsoft npas kit or to widen the brass part of the stock nozzle to bring the power back up Stock hop bucking isn't great, best to swap it while doing the barrel. Also while ordering the NPAS from Sabre order their flat hop adaptor thing The hop unit & barrel aren't necessarily aligned too the nozzle from the factory, and the inner barrel may be a little loose in the outer barrel, so some electrical tape shimming & some time tuning may be needed Mags (I have five) have all been great thus far As a £250 gun - with £50 of upgrades - and some time tuning in the garage it's a cracking bit of kit!

I’m going to be wanting it as a dmr set up, would you still recommend the M and then buying the semi lower? 4 hours ago, Darthwhite8 said: I have the 2M, if you want me 2p on it... Thanks, do you know if the barrel issue is the same across all the models? I’m wanting it set up as a dmr so I’ll definitely need a long barrel

If you are only going to use it as a DMR then decide based on looks, as mentioned just be aware of the non-adjustable D stock and overall weight. P.S. takes VSR barrels, see Sabre Airsoft on Youtube for his guide.
