Wegalaxy Posted Saturday at 22:06 Share Posted Saturday at 22:06 Hello, I own this PEQ box and have owned it for close to a year. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071HYS6MX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 When pressing the power button on the top the torch and laser come on but 80% of the time the light keeps flickering and is very dim along with the laser. I have changed the batteries but still the same effect occurs. I have also put a ball of tin foil in the battery tube to increase the chances of the connection going through but this still has the same effect. Does any one know how to fix this problem? Thanks
Sewdhull Posted Wednesday at 15:15 Share Posted Wednesday at 15:15 check for corroded contacts in the cap and at the base of where the batteries live
Wegalaxy
Hello @Sewdhull. I have done and it all looks fine to me. Do you think anything else is causing the problem? Thanks

Sewdhull
The corrosion occurs all over the contacts, not just on the parts that face you. Gotta take it apart to see.
Wegalaxy
Here is a video of the problem. I tried to disassemble it but I can't figure it out. VID_20240918_185250.mp4 The problem must have been camera shy. I screwed the cap on really tight now its working haha ButcherBill
Galvatron
Is your index finger constantly holding the button down or are you pressing it repeatedly? If it's the former, I would think there's some intermittent problem with the contacts shared by the laser and the LED as they seemed to turn on and off together. My first thought would be the battery or power button contacts.
