V2 gearbox trigger contacts problems

I have a M4 PDW and I seem to be having trouble with the contacts, it's a V2 gear box, I was at CQB and it was working fine, then after a few games I noticed the trigger response very poor, I had to squeeze the trigger very lightly for it to work, so all I can think of is the contacts worn, but the gun had only been used a handful of times, it's not run on lipo's, so I didn't think it would arch, any reason why this could be happening and is there anything i could do to stop it happening again?
