Portnoy Posted February 6, 2011 Share Posted February 6, 2011 both are different designs. ics has a modular gearbox, in which you can change the spring only by breakibg the barrel and doing a small procedure. ca ar15s are of regular v2 gearbox designs. externally wise, I prefer ca over ics. the same with the internals. btw, if you are choosing between sportlines, the ics normally breaks the plastic lower receiver on the back pinion. be warned, as ive seen several of those having thqt issue. Ricey Posted February 20, 2011 Share Posted February 20, 2011 Having seen and fired both i prefer the ICS. I imagine it also has parts more readily available if repair is needed.
