pottage7
Hello. Today I bought a rifle from a different forum. All was good, I put some rounds down my garden to check the hop up. Towards the end of my mag, the sound from the bolt seemed to go very quiet, I dry fired and it sounded like there was very minimal action going on. I assumed this to be a battery issue, so I unplugged my battery and went out to do other things. After returning, I checked my rifle. The Trigger Master III does its usual start up sequence, which all runs fine. However this is where the problem is. I cannot get the rifle to shoot. There is no action going on at all. There is what sounds like a quiet beep coming from what I assume to be the motor (I'm new at all this) in the grip of my M4. I also noticed that the connector from the battery to the mosfet (both sides) get hot VERY fast. From what I can tell there is no blockage, however after looking up the mag well into the hole where BBs feed, there appears to be something possibly blocking the entrance? Is it possible for the bolt to come too far forwards when propelling a BB and getting stuck or something? I checked the wiring and to my knowledge everything appears to be fine. Below is a quote of the internals from the forum post I bought the rifle from. I was going to try to strip the M4, but after pulling the pin out the rifle wouldn't split. I asked the guy that I bought it from and he told me that he has never needed to strip the rifle so he can't help me. Any help would be extremely appreciated, and thanks in advance. M4 RIS. pottage7
After reluctantly taking apart the gearbox out of curiosity and anger of sitting on a £250 heap of plastic and steal, I found the issue. I've no clue where from, but a rogue screw managed to wedge itself inside the spring, blocking it's action completely. I'm now trying to put the gearbox together but this heat is making it difficult.
