Man4d
Hi all, im new to this airsoft thing so bare with me & my terminology! Ok, so basically i bought an m57a sniper back in sept & its been great fun, gradually bought all the add ons and bits of kit (scope, bipod, goggles, top etc) but decided to get myself a new mag for it too as it was i figured it would be a right blag reloading the same mag in the middle of a skirmish! So anyway, bought one from some shop in Hong kong as i was holidaying over there a few weeks ago & got it home....... its to big? Looks identical but once its in, it aint coming back out! had to take the whole gun apart to get it out! Anyway, went back to using the original mag that came with the gun & its fine, fires perfectly every time, no problems, but then i thought actually, i really do want a 2nd mag - so bought one from justbb. Arrived, fitted in, great - No. It goes in, but doesn't "click" in like the other mag, and then, everytime you cock the gun, it pings out! It will stay in if i hold it there & it will load & fire, but as soon as i move my hand from under it & cock it "pop" it goes flying out across the floor! Went back to the original mag - and its absolutely fine! They look the same, weigh the same, slide the same. Wierd! Spoke to justbb & they said to try tightening / loosening the bolts around the magazine well to see if that helps so im gonna try that tonight. Has anyone got any other advise? Other than that - am i doomed to roam the battlefields with a single mag & reload every 20 - 30 shots?! Thanks....
Grounded_Pilot
First mag... have you tried filing down the body of the mag a bit? Or is it FAR too big for the gun? Second mag... try pulling the bolt back first, then slipping the mag in. It should click then. I had this issue before with a VSR, for some reason, one mag needed the bolt pulling back BEFORE putting it in Hope it works!
