What have you made?

Ahhhh that's a cool design but my pallet doesn't give me the depth to angle the mats very much!

Need to dust off my 3D printer - but my next project is a super-minimalist fixed battery stock for G&G receivers (ARP9 Etc).

Designed to hold at least a 2200mAh 11.1v LiPo - some smaller 3000mAh packs should also fit.

Length is around the same as stubby length M16 fixed stocks - good for the speedybois and/or smaller statures.

Not massively brilliant but when I got my RIF, one of the clamp blocks (?) on the front sight was missing. A few minutes in Tinkercad, 24 minutes on the printer and  . . . . .

I need to tweak it a little ang grab a new bolt/nut from work but I'm happy.

Ok, another make today.

I got my hard case very cheap. The foam was a bit wet and the case needed a bit of a clean. So case cleaned, foam towel dried then put in the airing cupboard overnight. Stuck it back in the case and it didnt quite feel dry enough so i printed a couple of vented silica gel holders, grabbed some reusable silical gel out of my filament filament dry box, put them all together and bish bash bosh . . . . after 24 hours, the silica gell had turned brown, meaning it had absorbed as much moisture as it could.

Ive just refilled them, so back in they go.

That's like our cheese grater.

Nice job though?

How do you get the metallic looking finish?

It's a silk matte filament. I got a box of 5 reels, all in different colour combinations, as a present off my daughter. I can ssk her where she got them from if you'd like.

Noticed the other day these digital target screens from Evike has a protective layer that absorbs the BB very well and dropping it down without much ricochet at all which seems ideal for a target

I suspect these are like 3mm thick clear PVC sheets and when held at the edge allowing it to flex it has very good "impedance matching" for airsoft BBs for lack of a better word

No that's ok thanks. Just interested.

I have trouble printing my name ?

ok, here we go again . . . .

After a crappy few days in work I didn't want to do much on my first day off (Sunday), so I found some things to print for my RIF.

Didn't like the small one so printed the bigger one. The bigger one feels much better but there is a bit too much play between the picatinny and the handle

So I'm going to have a go at packing it out but I can see that I'll just resize it and print again,  maybe in a funky dual coloured matte filament.

LInks to the parts . . . .

Small One

Bigger One

Kind of counts for this thread I suppose - A TTI PCC carbine build around an AAP-01. 210mm Unicorn Airsoft inner barrel+ unicorn hop rubber that came with the barrel. 3d printed short stroke buffer, semi lock selector plate, and angled fore grip.

Performance seems pretty decent  -  good accuracy and hop at 1.2 joules (305fps) on a .28g bb - I'll try some heavier ones later. Whole thing is very solid, and rather light/'pointable'.

Only bit that is annoying me is the octarms M-Lok handguard - even with no shims there is a gap at the back of it of at least 4mm between it and the receiver. I might need to try a different design that doesn't simply rely on set screw holes in the barrel nut and shims to align.

My Ghk Sig was given its first proper outing last weekend

(I used it exclusively at NAF but can’t confirm any “hits” with it there ?)

A previous owner had had a go at gluing the mag back together after obviously breaking it, it held up until Sunday when I used my speed loader and the repaired bit fell off into the undergrowth never to be seen again

I had some of that two part epoxy stuff that hardens rock solid, so gave it a fix myself. Seems to be pretty solid and fits the replica nicely.
only time will tell.

Replacement shells are available in the non transparent nylon type material

Another order from HK looming ??‍♂️

Working on making a hk21 machinegun out of an old jg g3. The handguard is nearly done but I still need to make the outer barrel and barrel swap handle. Then its onto makeing an adapter to make the magwell look like its belt fed. Planning to make a snap in piece that I can attach a modified cmag to with a box around it. Should be able to just pull the adaptor and switch to using normal mags just fine if I need. not going for 100% accurate. Im going for the overall look with a few quality of life things like picatinny for a foregrip and bipod.

I picked up a red dot sight, off here, and decided to design and 3d print a protector.

1st prototype

looks cool enough but cutting the acrylic sheet round and then fitting it into the holder was too much.

So . .

Prototype mk2

Happy with that one. Printed quickly in PLA so I'll get some better fillament, maybe ABS,  and print it properly.

Designed in Tinkercad, sliced in Prusaslicer, printed on an Anycubic Kobra.

Nice work - i'd love to progress to where i can design my own files for 3D printing. At the moment I use a simple circular end cap with a lip from an existing 3d file, and just scale it up and down to fit the various pre-cut perspex discs you can get off ebay - and the various scopes, sights, and torches that i use.
