So I am new to air-soft and am looking at buying my first M4 Rifle, I have looked at several different guns that I will link below, however they all have different things that put me off buying them.

My requirements:

- Needs to be two tone

- Budget £135 (Include battery)

- Metal trigger if possible

- As high a build quality as possible for my budget

- A mounting rail for a tactical grip

- High cap mag

- 300 fps+

Guns I have considered so far:

Thanks for any help.

Hey Jacob. Welcome to the forums.

Don't get any of those - though the CYMA stuff is alright, those websites are awful and don't deserve your custom. Read this: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/3779-the-beginners-guide-to-airsoft/

For the future too, it's worth searching the forums before opening a new thread. There have been hundreds who have asked the same question as you and you'll find more complete answers in less time if you put in a little effort by searching first.

Thanks for the help, however I live in to UK and there is a limitation on the amount of good websites I can order off, if you could suggest any particular UK based websites or any particular gun, that would be awesome. Thanks

I think we mostly all do. This is, after all, airsoft-forums.co.uk.

Throw those suggested guns/brands from the guide into Google and you'll get your answer quickly. If you're unsure about a retailer then certainly all of the larger UK ones have their own thread in the forum with reviews: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/forum/10-places-to-buy/

The UK actually has the best selection of airsoft shops in all of Europe so you shouldn't struggle to find somewhere that offers a 2-tone service as well as the gun you want. Usual disclaimer we give to all new people though: Consider not buying a gun first - rather rent your gun when you go skirmishing to obtain UKARA or some other way to prove a defence before spending money on something bright orange/green/blue. It's all covered in the guide.

Welcome. Lots of people here recommend the G&G Combat machine range as a good starter M4. Not something I have personal experience with but from what I have seen they're pretty decent.

Airsoft zone are a decent retailer and have some starter packs available.

If you don't need the starter pack items look on the website for just the gun itself.

Cyma M4's are notoriously bad. Have a look at ICS and G&G.

+1 for G&G starters closely followed by ICS

Raider is #1 selling mofo - yes common as muck but good bang for buck

2 for g&g raider. Had one for 2 years and it's still my go to gun

Also never ever ever buy anythin for a site that has "BB" in the name.

You don't want a BB gun u want an Airsoft weapon.

:)

They have some good deals (on sub £100 guns) sometimes - but while at the same time splattered with rip offs.

True they do have some half dencent pistols at resonable rate but it's very hard to see the good for all the sh:t. Especially for someone new to Airsoft.

Like everyone else has said: G&G or ICS for a good quality starter M4.

Personally prefer the ICS for the quick change gearbox.

What sort of sites will you be playing? If it's CQB then you will want a sorter m4 variant, I have an ICS CXP for indoors and a long barrel ICS PAR Mk3 with X4 Acog for out doors. Both cracking guns, although a bit above your budget. The G&G have inferior internals apparently? Although I am no tech savy so can't speak from personal experience.
