Westerns arms based power reduction?

Hey fine people. I’m trying to reduce the power of my little golden eagle gbbr m4 so I can run it on black gas or propane and it still be legal to use in the uk.

Know any way to reduce the power through the nozzle? I haven’t had any luck finding an npas for it yet and was wondering if there is a DIY solution.

I had to modify it to use my GHK mags ( shaved down the valve knocker by a couple mm but I mate just get a GHK one) to make that work properly, I see people to little mods with a grub screw but I can’t see how that would work on this nozzle.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Here we go. I think this is what you’re referring to? ( I’m new to anything that isn’t the ghk g5 or a hi capa) I tried putting a washer behind the spring an that just got clogged

Interesting. These old WA guns didn't have good ways to adjust power tbh, the GE clones can be a fair headache.

You might be able to use a Maple Leaf/RA Tech adjustable valve for the GHK ARs. It'll take a bit of chopping and changing.
 
VFC's GBBR AR's are ( i believe ) based i
On the old WA system, all my VFC's have either a Waldo Dynamics/Jaeger precision NPAS in them - all are adjustable.

Might it also work on the GE ?
 
Basically the historical options were limited when the WA system was readily available, originally it was designed for use with 134/144a, but the entire system is now 17+ years old.

Ratech, 5KU and Element made NPAS options, but they were at times difficult to obtain 10-15 years ago, let alone now.

Another alternative is to find spare rocket valve spring and cut a coil off it, then immediately chrono with the bb weight you're going to use. This cutting coils reduces the time the rocket valve is in its open position, however you can only realistically cut one or two coils from it before it stops it working entirely.

So if none of this works, you'll have to use 144a.

Would a ghk bolt assembly work? Just swapping it out whole from a boneyard ghk fo example.

Know anywhere that sells them? This little thing is my airsoft version of a Honda civic I am willing to do terrible things to it XD

Damn :( I wanted to restrict the flow so I could improve the recoil/make it run better in the cold. Took it out the other day and it struggled on we2x gas but only dropped from 1.1joul to about .85 so black gas would still been too hot :(
 
Yeah you can fit GHK parts in but you kinda have to go whole hog.

All to get a slightly worse GHK AR for about the same price.
