Any owners out there gone down the rabbit hole of changing this to an L1A1 clone hand guards flash hider ect? is it straight forward other than cost!

Flash hider won't fit, a real one or the Ares airsoft one, only option is to bore it out and rethread.  Handguards will fit, but the stock won't, not sure on pistol grip.  There is a complete guide linked within the Explosive Entreprises review here

Thanks! Got one on order should be here in a few weeks! I'd really hoped that the'd make it with a view to make an slr too! any clue if the charging handles are a swap for Ares or RS,

Charging handle I think you can swap out but good luck finding a RS one.  TBH, its a great rifle, just feed it good ammo and leave it alone.  I love mine.
