there is no legal limit (well, 12ft/lbs... but you will NEVER build an airsoft gun that can get there), anything you've read is a recommendation by ACPO and not defined by actual law.

With .43 it would need to be running at 899 fps to be 12ftlbsthere is no legal limit (well, 12ft/lbs... but you will NEVER build an airsoft gun that can get there), anything you've read is a recommendation by ACPO and not defined by actual law.
If your eye pro cant take a 500fps sniper hit at close range, your wearing the wrong eye pro.My issue with hot guns isn't the increased distance it the risk to eye pro especially if it's a "reaction shot" at close range.
helpfull video thx matey, looks easy to dissasemble, and therefor change the barrel. are hop rubbers easy to replace?https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=i3CqISdXdCA
If u can't find the length of barrel in handbook or on line, take the old one out and measure it. Providing you want the same length of barrel (ie u don't want to extend it into a mock silence) u should be able to just but one the same length but with a tighter bore. How tight is upto u and dependent on how good the ammo that u use is.

Simple answer is yes but might want to think about a better hop unit aswell.helpfull video thx matey, looks easy to dissasemble, and therefor change the barrel. are hop rubbers easy to replace?
And if it shatters?U missed the point, by cheating it's possible for someone to be well above 500fps. And it's not that the eye pro own take it but that the bb will shatter and I wear mesh.
Ive had it happen to me loads of times its no big deal. Worst case a bit of eyewash and all sorted. Can never tell.
I've seen a bb shatter on eye pro, not sure if it was due to a hot gun or cheap ammo but I can tell u I wouldn't want it to happen to me.
I was hoping someone else would chirp in with the answer rather than think I was being sarcastic. At normal fps am sure it is. But point of it was what if it's a .2 @ 800fps?
If it shatters the force will disperse the same. When the bb shatters it loses most of its momentum it feels no worse than getting grit in yours eyes. At 800fps I would be worried about it punching through more. A little over 500fps as was originally mentioned all mesh should take it.At normal fps am sure it is. But point of it was what if it's a .2 @ 800fps?
Don't wear mesh then. I'm not being funny but you take responsibility for your eye protection. If you're concerned with shattering BBs, dont wear mesh (cheap BBs can shatter from a perfectly field legal AEG). Same as if you're concerned with BBs getting behind gaps in your eye pro, wear full-seal..

Well as we discussed on the other pages, it's basically only possible to hit about the equivalent of 550 fps with a .20 with Joule creep. Unless you're cheating the crono with other weights, above that isn't going to happen. At normal fps am sure it is. But point of it was what if it's a .2 @ 800fps?
That was my point. Cheats fuck it up for everyoneWell as we discussed on the other pages, it's basically only possible to hit about the equivalent of 550 fps with a .20 with Joule creep. Unless you're cheating the crono with other weights, above that isn't going to happen.
